Tiny thumb camera for fun shots.
I love tiny action cameras and have been eyeing up some of the various “thumb” cameras that have been coming out recently. However, most of them in this price range look cheaply built or leave a lot to be desired in terms of video quality.
I bought this one because it looked very well made in the photos and the few reviews that were up at the time. In hand, it feels very well made. It has a big, glass lens that looks good and a knurled rim around the whole body of the camera. The buttons have a good click to them, so you know you’ve pressed them, and the screen is actually really nice. It’s a tiny screen but it’s enough to make sure you’ve framed things properly, and it’s actually bright enough to see in the sun. The camera also charges with USB-C, which is great.
The camera has a few video modes (4k30, 2.5k60, 2.5k30, 1080p60, 1080p30). I tested all of the modes and they all report correctly in VLC. The camera also records in .mp4 format with h.264 codec, so thumbs up for that. There shouldn’t be any problems editing or playing back the video from this camera. There’s a Photo mode that takes 8 megapixel photos, and a Timelapse mode, though I haven’t tested this yet. You can playback videos on the camera, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to fast-forward through the footage. The camera does “Segment Recording” in 1, 3, 5 and 10 minute clips though, meaning the clips are each only as long as it’s set for, so you can pinpoint moments in the footage this way. All of these settings can be adjusted on the camera using the buttons, so that’s another big plus for me.
Video quality from the camera is good! The 4k and 2.5k footage definitely looks better than the 1080p, so it’s not just interpolating footage. I’ll probably stick with 2.5k recording as that gives me 60fps recording. The camera can record in lower light, and it’s a lot better than other action cameras I’ve had. It also adjusts quite quickly from bright to dark scenes. The only complaint I’d have about the video quality is the sky can get a little blown out when the sun is behind clouds and in frame, but this happens with most cameras. With the sun at your back, the video quality is quite good and would look great viewed on social media.
This is a neat little camera that you could have a lot of fun with. I’ve just been playing around with it so far, but I’ve gotten some POV shots by holding the camera in my teeth since it’s small enough to so. I look forward to putting it on an RC car and filming from the ‘drivers’ perspective. I also want to try rigging this up to a kite for a kite-cam. The small size and the wide-angle lens makes this kind of filming possible.
In the box, the camera comes with a bunch of accessories, including 5 snap-in mounts, a magnetic necklace mount, and a USB-C cable. There’s a hat mount that lets you adjust the vertical angle of the camera, a clip mount that can attach to your collar or a button-up, one to mount to a tripod, and one to mount to standard action camera mounts. I think the last snap-in mount is for use with the magnetic necklace, as it attaches to it quite firmly. Maybe it’s for a stronger attachment when you might need that, but the camera itself also has magnets in it and attaches to the necklace mount without this clip. There is also a 64gb microSD card included in the camera, so it was ready to go out of the box.
With all my goofing around, I haven’t killed the battery yet. I let it record for 30 mins in 4k30 and it still hasn’t run down fully. Safe to say, if you’re just capturing 5 to 10 minute clips with the camera, you’ll have no issues with the battery life. Interesting note from this test, the camera filmed this entire time with no issues, no overheating or shutting down, and only got a little warm while doing so. That’s pretty good for such a small camera!
Overall, I’m happy with this camera and look forward to playing with it some more.

A very compact and budget friendly action cam which is tiny and weighs 28g and has easy one touch operation. I have been looking to get a portable personal cam such as this for creating action footage as well as a small commuting camera for use with a bike. The cam has a built in 500mAh battery providing around 90-150 mins usage (depending upon usage). The charging case has a 1800mAh battery providing additional 2.5 hours and the camera is useable while charging in the case and provides a convenient stand great for when out and about. The recording quality supports up to 4K@30FPS and with good lighting the footage is very good, one point should be noted this is not a low light camera and not suitable for night vision/dark. The camera incorporates electronic image stabilisation which dramatically reduces unwanted camera shake and can be turned on/off.
The camera includes several convenient strong magnetic mounting/wearing options allowing it to be easily mounted and set up for quick and easy hand free action shooting. Use is a simple one touch operation so you can quickly and easily start recording when needed. Recording is to the included 64GB removable microSD card (supports up top 256GB). The main lens has 150 ultra Wide angle shooting giving all encompassing POV style shoot. The camera is designed to operate in conjunction with the accompanying smartphone app via a direct local WiFi connection doing away with the need for a built in screen making it compact and lightweight. Recordings can be transferred using a number of methods: App/USB/microSD. A great capable, lightweight, well priced wide angle action cam which can also function as a personal commuting camera.
Easy to setup, solid, tiny, great quality
I have been using this camera for a while, i really like it. Its very convenience for me to use while walking on sidewalk and i can connect to my phone and i can see them on the phone. The setup was very easy, the quality really great for the price. Its small and very petite. It has couple holders i can attach them on scooter very easy. The quality of recording is very impressive, you can hear the audio of recording very clearly which is very impressive. really loved it.
