28 Years Later: The Bone Temple – UHD + Digital + Steelbook

Expanding upon the world created by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later – but turning that world on its head – Nia DaCosta directs 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself in a shocking new relationship – with consequences that could change the world as they know it – and Spike’s (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) becomes a nightmare he can’t escape. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival – the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBest of the 4 28 films thus fa
The best zombie film I’ve seen since the original Dawn of the Dead. A tour de force examining modern life and social media as an exploitable pandemic, building on the examination of nostalgia in 28YL. This film truly is anti cancel culture in my opinion, it clearly elucidates systems of control in media.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA great followup for fans of the franchise
Loved Danny Boyle’s sequel, and it seamlessly flows right into this one. If you liked the first 28 Years Later, this is definitely worth a watch. If you didn’t love 28 Years Later (and many people didn’t), I’m not sure this one will necessarily scratch the itch for you either.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersUnforgettable. Samson steals the show.
I went in expecting a solid sequel, but I honestly think this is the best entry in the franchise. It’s tense and brutal with purpose, and unexpectedly emotional. The Samson storyline is the standout for me; there’s so much dread, but there’s humanity underneath it too. It’s compelling, unsettling, and oddly heartbreaking. The atmosphere is immersive, and the pacing is relentless. This story has real weight, and it sticks with you after the credits. Strongly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersExcellent continuation, hopeful trilogy setup
A film that perfectly builds off of its predecessor, 28 years later, The Bone Temple explores the depths of humanity through crisis, trauma, and where we choose to put our faith and energy. Akin to the original, the film explores positive and toxic masculinity, alongside the power of hope and found family. The scene in act 3 is really energizing! The film ends with enough questions and cliffhangers to leave us hopeful for a third and final installment to the 28YL trilogy.
