Great for Small SUVs and Small/Compact Sedans
This umbrella sunshade has been a great addition to my daughter’s car. She has a small SUV. It fills her windshield to block the sun well. The length of the handle and bend in the handle works well with the configuration of her dash. I have a large sedan and this does not fully cover my windshield. It would be better if the description contained this information. This does block the sun well and help reduce the intense heat that we get in the deep south. It helps to prevent sun damage to the car’s interior. This is compact and fairly simple to use. It does take some practice to install it and remove it. The bend in the handle was rough to get the slide to go over it until you’ve somewhat broke it in. The bend is still so that the shield is pressed firmly against the glass and stable. It is important to note that this does need to expand fully to reduce tension and pressure on the arms. They aren’t made to have backwards pressure put on them. The backwards opening design does mean that there are more moving parts of the umbrella. My daughter did practice with it several times to get the hang of it to make popping it into place quicker. She really likes this kind of sun shade over the popup ones. She struggles to fold the large wire popup ones in her car and gets frustrated and tosses it in the back. Hopefully, this one will last her a long time.
Great Sunshade for Larger Windshields, Not Ideal for Smaller Cars
This sunshade is a great option—but mainly for larger vehicles. I tried it in a few different cars between coworkers, and unfortunately it didn’t fit most of them. I tested it in a Kia Forte, BMW i4, and Honda Odyssey with no luck. However, it fit perfectly in my manager’s Toyota Highlander, and he’s been really happy with it.
The design itself is solid. It works just like an umbrella, so setup and takedown are quick and easy. I also like the added Velcro strap, which helps keep it tightly wrapped when not in use, and the included sleeve makes storage and organization simple.
It does a good job blocking sunlight, which is especially important now that most cars have large screens and interiors that heat up quickly. The coverage is definitely there—as long as your windshield is large enough.
Overall, this is a well-designed and functional sunshade, but sizing is key. I’d recommend it for SUVs, trucks, or vehicles with larger windshields (like Teslas), but probably not for smaller sedans.

Overall Rating:
A great sunshade for bigger vehicles—just make sure it fits your windshield before buying.
Fits big diesel truck, plus its doing work in Phoenix
I recently got the Weektic Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella for my car and it has quickly become a summer essential in Phoenix heat. The 2026 upgraded version deploys easily and covers the entire windshield with a snug fit using the sun visors. It blocks intense sunlight remarkably well — my steering wheel and seats stay significantly cooler after sitting in direct sun for hours.
The umbrella-style design is genius. It folds down compactly (about 14 inches long) and stores neatly in the door pocket or center console without taking up space. Setup and takedown take less than 10 seconds, making it far more convenient than traditional accordion shades. The black color looks sleek, and the build feels sturdy with no sagging or light leakage around the edges.
This is one of the best car sun shades I’ve tried for ease of use and effectiveness. Five stars. Highly recommend for anyone who parks outdoors in hot weather. Great value and smart design.
Easy to use sun shade that folds down small
This Weektic windshield sun shade umbrella is a convenient alternative to the big folding accordion-style sun shades. The umbrella design makes it quick to open, place against the windshield, and fold back down when not in use. I like that it stores more compactly, so it is easier to keep in the door pocket, seatback pocket, or trunk without taking up much space.
It helps block direct sunlight from the front windshield and makes the car feel less brutally hot when it has been sitting outside. It is especially useful during hot afternoons when the steering wheel and seats start acting like they were forged in a volcano.
The material feels lightweight, and the frame opens smoothly. Placement may take a little adjusting at first, especially around the rearview mirror and dashboard area, but once you figure out the best angle, it is pretty simple to use. As with most windshield shades, the fit will depend on your vehicle’s windshield size, so measuring first is a good idea.
Overall, this is a practical sun shade for daily use. It is easy to open, folds down compactly, and helps reduce direct heat and sunlight inside the car.
PERFECT Windshield Sunshade
I’ve had an ongoing battle with sunshades as I just had not been able to find one that actually works well, lasts, and doesn’t take up my entire backseat (and that I don’t have to struggle to fold back into a circle). And then I found this baby.. I LOVE that it stores as the size of an umbrella! It does have a bit of a learning curve in order to figure out how best to open and place it, but once you do, you’re going to never going to buy a different kind of sunshade. This sunshade has protected my dashboard from direct sunlight and keeps my car much cooler during these harsh Texas summers. It stays put without having to add nay straps or secure it with any other device. On the few occasions where this type of thing has come up in conversations with others, I always pull this product page up and show them, making sure to tell them that it’s worth every penny! If this one ever wears out, I will 100% buy another one. I thew every other type of sunshade directly in the trash as soon as I installed this one for the first time. I just can’t recommend this enough — you have to try it out for yourself — I guarantee you are going to love it!
It far exceeded my expectations
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like this windshield sun shade umbrella. It opens and folds just like a regular umbrella, making it much quicker to put up and take down than traditional foldable shades. It fits my windshield well, blocks a lot of the heat, and keeps the interior noticeably cooler when my car has been parked in the sun. The upgraded design feels sturdy, and it folds down compactly into the included storage sleeve without taking up much space. It’s a simple but very effective accessory that makes getting into a hot car much more comfortable, and I’m happy to have added it to my daily driving routine.
Cooler Days Ahead
These are great items! Please note, to read the instructions first or you could become frustrated with the product. This is one a Nissan Sentra and its windshield is more angled and narrower than my other vehicle (Ram 4th Gen) and requires a different way to install it. With windshields that are more angular or narrow, you want to open it slightly and then open it fully once you have it in place. The base is bendable, so that helps with stability. This particular windshield sun shade fully covers the windshield and blocks out all of the sunlight. I am very pleased with this product.
