Great puzzle board with one minor flaw.
Amazing puzzle board with some very minor design flaws, but great functionality. First of all, the board is massive, leaving plenty of room to leave about 3 inches of space around a 1000 piece puzzle. It likely could fit a 1500 piece, just know you wouldn’t have space outside the edges to store pieces. However, luckily, the board has 4 drawers for organizing, each lined with a felt mat (thought one of my drawers was missing the felt). This same felt is on the main part of the board, which keeps pieces from moving around. This is a double edged sword as it makes it harder to slide around large swaths of connected pieces. The swivel design is genius as it keeps you from having to awkwardly lean over a table to get to the other side. A simple swivel, and you’re on the other side of the board in an instant! In terms of flaws… none of the drawers have stoppers or locking mechanism on them, so if you’re not careful you will pull the drawers completely out. Additionally, if you’re carrying the board to another room using the handle, the drawers can slide out all the way. This is my biggest gripe with the board, but as long as you’re not moving it, I’d say it functions as intended. Overall, I recommend but just keep the drawer issue in mind.
Great versatile work board, many uses
This is a great versatile puzzle board. It has a bit of assembly involved when you get it . It took me about 20 minutes to put together. Once assembled, it has some really great features. Being able to tilt and swivel the puzzle in any direction is perfect, especially when more than one person may be working on it, or you just want to turn it around so you can work on different sides without having to move around the tableThere are four side trays, which can hold the extra pieces and can also be slid in for storage when not working on the puzzle.
It also comes with a carrying handle on top and is very slim when you need to put it away. Easily would fit in a closet or under a bed for storage. I actually have a couple other uses for it as well. I do some free painting and also paint my number painting which I found this board extremely helpful for that craft. All the drawers and the main puzzle area have felt liners that keep the pieces from slipping when you tip it in any direction. The only problem I found with this was pretty minor in that the main felt piece was folded and has creases that do not lay flat. I just ironed it with a slightly damp towel to protect it and the creases did come out. If it was packed rolled up instead of folded, this probably would not be an issue.
Overall, it’s a perfect helpful tool and a super great gift for any puzzler!
Nice Features & Great Concept, but Some Durability Concerns
The Novarieth 1500-Piece 2-in-1 Tilting & Rotating Puzzle Board has several thoughtful features that make puzzling more enjoyable.
It includes four drawers for sorting pieces, each lined with felt and finished with a nice wooden pull knob. The lazy Susan base is a great addition, especially when working with others, allowing the board to rotate easily for shared access. The adjustable tilt (with three positions) also makes it easier to see and place pieces comfortably.
The working surface is a generous 32″ x 23″ and includes both an attached felt surface and a separate cover cloth. The cover is helpful for protecting your puzzle when stepping away.
Assembly took about an hour. Although I typically use power tools, I would recommend assembling this one by hand. The included screwdriver actually worked best, and the wood is quite soft, making it easy to strip screws if using a drill.
Applying the adhesive felt required a bit of patience. The backing was difficult to remove at first, but once started, it could be applied carefully using a slow, controlled method. It does allow for repositioning if needed, which was helpful.
One thing to be aware of is that the board is constructed in four sections using relatively soft wood. Because of this, it’s important not to apply too much pressure during assembly or while attaching the felt. I did experience some separation in one area and a minor break in a drawer during the process. While this didn’t affect functionality and isn’t visible once assembled, it’s something to keep in mind.
In terms of durability, I do feel this could be improved — either with stronger materials or additional reinforcement. A more rigid cover option (such as a fitted board with clips) might also be a helpful enhancement for securing puzzles in place.
Overall, I appreciate the design, features, and functionality this board offers. It provides a dedicated and enjoyable space to work on puzzles, especially with family.
For me, the biggest value will be using this with my grandchildren — creating memories together, which is what matters most.
