Look like real Ice Cubes
These really do look like ice cubes in your drink. 70 cubes in total, that is a lot. Washed them well, after they dried put them in the freezer. I have used them in my iced coffee to stop melting ice from watering down my drink. They work but you do not get as cold or chill as quickly as you do with an actual ice cube. Still handy though for as mentioned keeping from watering down your drinks. You also need to wash them too. Other than that they are low maintenance and should last a while.

Thus package is FILLED full of reusable ice cubes.
After washing and freezing, I placed them in my Yeti cup, and 24 hours later, they’re still fully frozen and my cranberry juice isn’t watered down like it would be with regular ice cubes. I also put more cubes in my BRUMATE and more in a regular cup and filled them with more juice. The Brumate ice cubes defrosted a tiny bit after 18 hours, and the regular cup after 4 hours. The juice remained the same as with my Yeti because these aren’t real ice cubes.
The ice cubes only take a few hours to freeze, and because the package came with so many, no matter if you use a regular cup, there are plenty of ice cubes to keep your drinks cold.
These cubes are clear, so they look more like real ice, which is great, as I don’t like the look of weird colored objects floating in my water. These ‘Trick’ my mind into thinking they’re just regular ice cubes.
As for cleaning, I would wash these by hand and dry them slightly before tossing them in a zip top bag to refreeze.
There are enough cubes here for my whole family to use a cup full in their water, so they’re definitely worth the money.
These Fake Ice Cubes Provide Real Chilling Power!
My icemaker broke some time ago, and using ice cube trays is getting old. When I saw these, I knew I wanted them, but not as you’d think.
I knew I didn’t want plastic fake cubes, floating in my beverages.
I need ice for aches and pains more often than I want to admit. And though I always have bags of peas or lima beans in the freezer, I always think I shouldn’t be using food items. These plastic ice cubes, that will “melt” internally and I can freeze repeatedly, seemed like a great idea.
The first thing I did was count them. Yes, there are, indeed, 70! And they are all tightly sealed. I washed them in groups of ten in a plastic colander with hottest tap water and “powerwash” spray. Then thoroughly rinsed and dried them carefully, and into a zippered plastic bag and into the freezer.
Imagine my surprise to discover that I would use them in beverages! They all froze overnight (I didn’t count how long it took) and I thought I’d try them.
I should have realized that since I like my cold beverages cold, but not really a fan of ice and watered down drinks, I might like these. These solve that problem! And the “cubes” weren’t hitting my mouth at all, so I wasn’t getting any feeling or taste of plastic.
It is still winter weather here, so I don’t know how they would do in the summer, making iced coffee or tea. But so far, I’m liking these!
And they do also work great for aches and pains, lasting longer than I need to keep the icing going. Then I wash, and back in the freezer. They are big enough to make a difference, but not so big as to be cumbersome.
I don’t know that I will give up my ice cube trays, but these plastic cubes have surprised me with how much I like them. And that’s a really good thing!
No more watered down drinks!!!
Let’s talk about reusable ice cubes. I have owned many over the years and these do not keep your drink cold like real ice! So giving these a poor review is a disservice. Their whole job is to not water your drink down while prolonging it from getting luke warm. And they do that beautifully. Since they don’t melt into your drink, they don’t release that instant burst of cold energy. Again, these (or any reusable ice cubes) in no way replace real ice!!!
I generally use these with a big glass. I fill up my 24-40 ounce glass full of these ice cubes then add my cold drink. Doing that helps with keeping its current temperature longer. I thoroughly despise a watered down drink so these are perfect.
When they arrived I washed and dried them and put them back in the netting they came in and froze them. Because they were bunched up, I left them in for 2 days and they were frozen solid.
What I like about these is that they are filled with purified water, so if one leaks it shouldn’t ruin your drink. I have had some that leaked and tasted funny.
Overall these are great, your last sip will taste exactly like the first, and that is the whole point! 70 pieces is more than enough to share with others or have multiple big drinks like I stated while some need to still be washed and refrozen.
With all that being said for the best results, use about 30% more of these than you would regular ice. Since they don’t melt into your drink, you need more surface area contact to keep the temperature of your beverage from becoming warmer quicker, hence the big cup for more ice! Love these and recommend you give them a try!
