3/4” ?? Not really sure about there dimensions
Well, this is the second one I have ordered the first one that I ordered was a 5/8 diameter hose in 75 foot to reach my hose storage bin out in my backyard however this one was supposed to be a 3/4″ diameter hose, but is very funny. It looks exactly the same as the 5/8 that I received before I am really hoping that it is truly a 3/4″ hose and not just another 5/8. Other than that. They are very nice and I did notice when I was stringing it out. It did not kink it did tangle amongst itself, but never kinked which will come in handy for the one that I have out front to water my flowerbeds out front.. Price wise I believe these are a good value for something that is going to last and being stainless steel. Should not have to worry about these hoses, rupturing due to the fact that the material gets hot and weak when put under pressure. About my only complaint is not being sure that I actually received the 3/4″ diameter hose that I purchased and really don’t want to take the time to send it back as it did not cost much more than my 5/8 hose did
Short Stainless Steel Garden Hose That’s Perfect for Filling Watering Cans
Having a stainless steel garden hose is a first for this reviewer. And I have to say that this 10 foot hose by the IBXFO Store is the perfect solution for my application: filling watering cans. (See photo.)
Having three outdoor faucets here is, for me, an embarrassment of riches. And that’s because one of them doesn’t get a whole lot of use. More often than not it serves as a watering can-filling specialist.
Clearly a hose longer than 10 feet would be overkill in this situation. But filling the can directly from the faucet is, of course, impractical. So this hose has found its ideal use. The hose is really easy to handle, with flexibility that is superior to the rubber and vinyl hoses I’ve been using all my life.
Add to that the high quality of the brass fittings and reinforcing collars at the hose ends and this hose is an impressive piece of work. (See photos.) And I say this as someone with a certain familiarity with garden hoses. There have been the decades of regular yard and garden hose work around the house. And back in my youth, in two summers’ worth of work on a golf course greenskeeping crew, I coiled and uncoiled literally miles of hose.
So when it comes to the ease with which this hose loops into a neat coil, it puts rubber and vinyl hoses to shame. The stainless steel hose material itself appears quite robust and attachment to the faucet threads is smooth and secure. Time will tell how the hose stands up to long-term outdoor exposure, but all my initial impressions are positive about its ability to last over many seasons.
Flow through the hose is unimpeded by any kinks and the weight of the brass fitting at the male end keeps the hose in place within a watering can under high water pressure, without the hose flying out and waving around as lightweight hoses can do sometimes.
A roll of plumber’s tape is included but I found that the hose attached to the faucet securely and leak-free enough so that no additional sealing was required. Extra hose gaskets are also included. (See photos.)
For buyers looking for a short length of garden hose with solid construction and ease of use, this product makes a lot of sense.
Good hose for around the house.
Got this stainless steel hose because I wanted a small “utility hose”. What I meant was something to hook up to a spigot near the grill to rinse things off on the porch, spray muddy boots, fill up a bucket, run out to the pressure washer, etc. Instead of having to go get and drag around a whole length of rubber hose everytime I wanted to do one of these small jobs, this came in very handy.
The biggest advantage of this hose is the metal construction. It does not easily kink like a cheap vinyl hose. It also does not retain that memory coil that regular hoses have. It is also surprisingly light weight and easy to move around corners. The brass fittings thread on smoothly and seem to seal up nice. No leaks so far on mine.
It has also held up well outside. No problems with sun/weather destroying it. You do not have to worry about it cracking/splitting like a soft hose would either.
The only downside I’ve found is that it is only 10 ft long. So if you are looking for a “whole yard” hose this is not it. This is strictly a short run convenience hose. Also, like any metal hose, be careful where you drag it. It can scuff paint on a vehicle if you are not careful. Something I think about when pulling it around.
Overall I am pleased with this purchase. If you are looking for a little tough hose that won’t kink and fight you like cheaper rubber hoses…this is one you will not regret buying.
Favorably Impressed
So far, I am favorably impressed with this flexible metal garden hose. No leaks whatsoever after installing and testing it. It coils up neatly beneath the faucet after use and does not kink at all. Time will tell, but I’m hopeful that it will last for a reasonably long time.
