High quality sun blocking
This custom-fit windshield sun shade for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma blocks heat effectively—keeps the cab noticeably cooler and protects the dashboard from sun damage. Perfect edge-to-edge fit, no gaps, and folds down compactly for storage. Sturdy build holds shape well. However, the material feels heavy and somewhat stiff, making it tricky to install or remove without adjusting the rearview mirror each time. Once in place it’s great, but the flexibility could be better for easier handling. Still solid value and does the job well for daily use. Recommended with that minor caveat.
Perfect and nice fi
I use this in my Toyota Tacoma and the fit is much better than the universal shades I have tried before. It is shaped for the Tacoma windshield so it covers the glass properly and does not sag in the corners. The material feels thicker than the cheap foil shades and it reflects sunlight well which helps keep the interior cooler when the truck sits in the sun. After using it for a while I noticed the steering wheel and dash are not nearly as hot when I get back in the truck. The frame pops open easily and it takes only a few seconds to place it against the windshield then hold it in place with the sun visors. Folding it back up takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it it stores neatly in the included pouch. The materials seem durable and the frame springs back into shape after repeated folding. For Tacoma owners this is a simple accessory that helps protect the interior and keep the cabin cooler so it feels like a good value.
Best shade I have ever purchased, keeps my truck nice and cool
This sunshade is a great value for the money and honestly the best shade I have ever used. It feels substantial, not flimsy, and really does a good job reflecting heat and keeping the interior cooler. After using it, I am impressed enough that I will be buying another one for my wife’s SUV as well.
Well made, fit just ok.
This is a well-made, sturdy sun shade. It is designed for my truck, but I wish the fit were a little better. The mirror cutout is kind of small. Firstly the mirror parts don’t fit inside it, that isn’t a really big deal. It just sits on top of them and doesn’t hurt the fit much. But what I don’t like is that it makes it hard to install. I basically have to move my mirror to get it on the window. That is why I dock it a star. But once installed, I’m confident it will be a really good sun shade and keep my car cooler. This would be good for someone that hates the kind that pop out and need twisted back into a tight circle. Those can be a pain, but I’m so used to them I don’t mind them. Those other ones fold down smaller too. This one takes up a bit of space when not in use.
Very premium sun shade
Right out of the box i was super impressed with the material quality of this sun shade. This is not your typical thin flimsy plastic shade, this has an inner core material that is about 1/4 inch thick and it is very sturdy which helps it stay in place well. The build quality is excellent with the reflective side and a soft suede side the materials are stitched together very well. This folds up accordion style for easy storage but the whole thing is rigid so it will only fold so much. It does come with a storage bag which is a nice added touch, this really is a premium sun screen specifically fit for the Toyota tacoma.
This is a sturdy sunshade, fits well, and has a lot of heat-blocking ability.
This thing is a beast. Thick, well insulated, with a good reflective side. There are small gaps at the edges, but they all have that (and this one mentions it). The notch is a bit small for the mirror, but, well…if you move your mirror you can adjust it. Folds up and stores great. Comes with it’s own bag.
One side note…it is not designed to go around a dash cam that hangs from your mirror. Ask me how I know. That’s not a knock on this product at all, it’s an after-market accessory I installed, so it’s on me. It’s an easy fix, I’m going to cut down inside both side of the notch to make a moveable flap and seal the edges with aluminum foil tape. Just something to move out of the way to let the camera slip by when putting the shade in the window. No problem.
Excellent Fit for Tacoma, Well Made and Effective — Pricey but Quality Shows
This windshield sun shade is very clearly designed specifically for the Toyota Tacoma, and the fit reflects that. It covers the windshield cleanly edge to edge without gaps or sagging, which is something I’ve never gotten from generic shades. Setup is quick — unfold it, place it against the glass, and secure it with the sun visors — and it folds back down easily for storage.
The materials feel sturdy and well constructed. The multi-layer insulation holds its shape, doesn’t feel flimsy, and does a good job blocking heat and sunlight. After sitting in the sun, the cab temperature is noticeably lower, and it provides solid protection for the dashboard and interior surfaces.
At around $50, it’s more expensive than standard sun shades, so that’s something to consider. That said, the custom fit, durability, and overall build quality make it feel like a premium accessory rather than a disposable one. If you want something made specifically for the Tacoma that fits well and holds up over time, this does the job.
Fits other Toyotas, trucks, SUV's as well; Works well and works quickly to pull out, put up
This sunshade ended up being perfect for my 2019 Toyota RAV4 because it folds out so easily, reflects the sun really well, and actually stays in place without any fuss. The biggest win for me is how quickly it folds up and unfolds. It is truly a grabandgo design, which matters when you’re standing in the Texas heat and don’t want to wrestle with anything. I used to have one of those umbrellastyle shades, and it was way more work than I wanted for everyday use. I took a chance on this one fitting my RAV4, and it worked out great. As long as the shape matches what’s pictured, it’s surprisingly versatile and makes keeping the car cooler so much simpler.
