Product description

Great pair of headsets for easily consuming media!
Sound Quality
The audio clarity is better than expected – dialogue is crisp and clear, which makes a difference when watching shows or movies. The bass and mid-range are balanced, and there’s no distortion.
Quality
These headphones feel solid and well-built. The materials and finish don’t feel cheap, and the charging base adds a nice premium touch. Everything feels sturdy enough for regular use without any flimsy components.
Value for Money
Considering the performance and features such as the dedicated transmitter, charging base, and lag-free audio – this set is a decent value. It offers a more comfortable and effective experience than many similarly priced wireless headsets.
Volume Control
The volume controls are intuitive and responsive. It’s easy to adjust levels right from the headset without fumbling with the TV remote, and the range of volume is wide enough to suit both quiet listening and louder environments.
Ease of Setup
Setup was a breeze. I just connected the transmitter to my TV, powered it up, and the headphones paired. Generally no technical knowledge required, which I especially appreciated.
Range
The wireless range is good – I can move around the room or even into the next room briefly without losing connection. There’s no annoying dropouts or delays, so I can multitask without missing audio.
Overall:
These Wantek wireless TV headphones deliver excellent sound quality, good build, easy setup, and reliable connectivity — all at a very fair price. If you want a comfortable, hassle-free way to enjoy TV, you should try these out!
Great Quality and Easy Bluetooth Setup
I ordered this set of wireless headphones for use with my MacBook Air at work and my iPhone 16 while traveling. So far, connection has been seamless on both devices.
Set up was easy and straightforward. Assemble the base (attach vertical component to charging base). Plug into power block using the USB-A to USB-C cable provided. Hang the headphones on the stand and move the power switch on the front of the base to “on”. A light indicates the headphones are charging. The headphones were charged on arrival.
I was not planning to connect the headphones to a TV or directly to a computer, but fiber optic, RCA, and 3.5mm AUX cables did come with the set (in addition to a charging block and USB cable). Instead, I used Bluetooth to connect to my devices. Note that you do need to turn the power switch on the charging base to “off” before the headphones become discoverable on your mobile devices. Once I figured this out, connection was quick and easy.
The audio (based on my experience listening to a webinar) is pretty good. I did not find a sound cancelling feature, but ambient noise was definitely muffled.
The headphones are comfortable albeit a bit roomy on my small head. For reference, I wear a youth size or XS adult hat. The headphones can be expanded for larger head sizes. The ear cups are spongy, comfortable, and appear to be good quality. In addition, a spongy non slip area is located at the arch on either side of the charging point. The ear cups pivot smoothly. One thing to note if you wear eyeglasses is that the larger frames feel compressed near the ears when wearing the headphones for longer periods of time.
Volume controls located on the left side are convenient and easy to access. This is also where you can find the on/off switch with indicator light and a 3.5mm AUX port. The USB-C charging port is on the right side. Microphones are located on the outside of each ear cup.
One thing that was not abundantly clear is the ability to change audio settings. Short press the EQ button to switch between vocal, cinema, bass, and balanced modes. This button also mutes the mic if long pressed.
Overall I find these headphones to be high quality, easy to set up and use, and a good value for the asking price.
These are great for anyone who needs extra clarity or volume (or both) when watching TV. But there is something you need to be aware of concerning the audio output circuit of your television and how you plan to use these headphones.
I’ll start with my personal situation. I have a hard time discerning the dialogue on TV when it’s delivered with a music background. Sometimes it seems like the music is louder than the spoken words, and I get very little out of the dialogue.
My problem is exactly what these headphones are made for. To use, plug the audio output of the TV into the input of the Bluetooth transmitter. This allows you to hear the television through the headphones. You don’t need nearly as much volume because you’ve just brought the sound source right next to your ear. I also noticed I’m able to hear details in the background (door creaks, water running, paper rattling for example) that I couldn’t hear before.
The real advantage is being able to set the volume I need through the headphones while my wife watches at a much more comfortable (lower) volume.
Let’s talk about how the TV you have could affect your use of these phones. I’ll use my own situation as an example. I have a three-year-old, 50 inch Samsung. It has several audio output options, but to activate them, I have to use the remote, go to “system,” and select the proper one. If I activate an audio output, I no longer have sound from the TV speaker. This means I can use either the headphones or listen to the TV — but not both (which is what I needed.)
So, check the audio output options on your television and make sure you can activate an output for audio while keeping your TV speakers on or off (newer TV’s are usually selectable to keep the TV speakers either on or off, with the external audio output activated.
If you find your TV doesn’t offer a separate audio feed output while allowing you to keep the speakers on, here’s how to fix the problem: I used the “optical” audio output from the TV as the audio source to feed the Bluetooth transmitter. I split this feed — one to the xmitter and the other to a separate Bluetooth soundbar. Now I have separate volume controls for each, and my wife can watch at her lower level, and I’ve got the volume I need through the headphones. Yes, this requires the purchase of an optical feed splitter and a soundbar, so make your own decision about total cost if you have an older TV or one that won’t feed an external output while keeping the TV speakers on.
The seller claims 600 hours of standby and 40 hours of use between charges. That’s a lot. I get the impression that the unit is meant to be charged and then set in place for use. I didn’t test this rating. Personally, I plugged the base unit into the charger (included) and plan to use it that way permanently, knowing that I won’t run out of battery while using the headsets.
While we’re talking about battery life, keep in mind that both the base unit and the headphones need to be charged separately. There’s a nice feature on the headphones: a charge receptacle is built into the headband, so when you place it on the base unit, the headphones are being charged.
Overall, the sound quality is excellent. The construction quality is consumer grade, but it should last a long time under normal use. Recommended.
