Solid for a 2025 Rav4
This worked great in my 2025 rav4. The coolest thing about this is that it collapses into basically an umbrella. No twisting and turning trying to figure out how to fold up your sunshade. If you can work an umbrella you can work this.
It was a little oversized for my window but they thought of that and the edges are bendy so they self adjust to your window size.
This definitely helps keep your car cool. I used this in 100 plus heat and it kept my seats from burning me when I sat down.
Since it folds up like an umbrella I feel like it will be less prone to damage and the frame is metal so I dont think it will break easy.
Retractable sun shader - compac
Very easy to use sun shader that pulls into a compact umbrella design. It is very easy to store inside about any car.
This design actually is big for the car in the picture (2021 Kia Seltos) but fits into place just fine. The metal arms fold and bend easily to make the fit.
Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella
The funomo “Upgraded Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella” seems work well. I found it to be a little hard to open initially, but that was me holding back since I did not know what it might do, so I suggest you open it outside you vehicle first to familiarize yourself with it and to ensure you know which way is up. Removing this product from the windshield is pretty quick as it is a spring-loaded umbrellas mechanism.
This product comes with a nice storage “sleeve” which is easy to use: close up the shade umbrella, secure it with the Velcro-laden strap, then like the shade in.
Living in Florida a windshield sun screen is a must. I’ve gone from using the folded cardboard one from the ’90s to the spring-loaded ones that pop out to this umbrella one. It will take a little get used to, but we will probably get more of these for all our family vehicles.
Overall I like this and have found no faults with it, so I do recommend it. I do, however, find this product to be pricey at the current price of $45, but you do get a great product for that amount.
Excellent Sun Protection and Easy to Use

I love the umbrella-style design, which makes it super easy to open, position, and fold away when not in use. It’s much more convenient than traditional sunshades and doesn’t take up much space when stored.
The build feels sturdy and well-made, and it fits nicely across the windshield for full coverage. It helps protect the dashboard and interior from sun damage and fading.
Overall, this is a practical, effective, and easy-to-use sunshade that makes a noticeable difference on hot days. Definitely a must-have for any car!
Much easier shade style than those fold-up ones
I’ve gone through enough cheap windshield shades to know most of them are annoying to deal with, so I was really hoping that this umbrella-style design would be the one that worked and it did (mid-sized SUV)! It opens fast, fits into place without any issues and folds back down small enough that it’s easy to stash when I’m done. The size worked well across my windshield and the spring edge helps it sit more snugly than the flat accordion types I’ve used before. In actual use the effectiveness is solid because it noticeably cuts down on how hot the cabin gets and helps keep the dash and seats from feeling like they’re baking in direct sun. The material feels thicker than the bargain versions and the frame seems sturdy enough for repeated daily use. Ease of use is really the big selling point here because it takes almost no effort to put up or take down. For the money, it feels like a worthwhile upgrade if you park outside a lot. This is best for drivers who want quicker setup and better heat protection, but not ideal if you prefer a custom-fitted rigid shade.
No More Fighting With Fold-Up Shades!
The design of this is genius! I had never seen an umbrella-style car window shade before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve always used the standard flip-out kind and struggled to keep them in place.
This one was incredibly easy! I just opened it, positioned it under the rearview mirror, and clicked it into place. It has great coverage and stays in place.
I honestly thought the tricky part would be folding it back up and getting it into the cover, but even that was easy, too. The cover has enough wiggle room that I had no trouble fitting it back in.
Super happy with this and already considering getting another for our second vehicle (and finally getting rid of those frustrating old twist flip-out shades!).
Nice umbrella-style sun shade; works really well
This funomo umbrella-style auto sun shade works really well. I’ve had a couple of similar shades in the past and liked them, but this one seems better made than those, and I expect it to last a long time. Its price point is similar to others in this category, which seems fair to me given how well made it is.
One thing I like is that this shade comes with a very useful storage sleeve. On some umbrellas and similar products, it can be quite difficult to get the product into the sleeve; here, there’s enough space for easy use when you’re not using the screen. This keeps the space it needs down in the car, which is nice.
The screen itself works nicely; the umbrella function works perfectly in both opening and closing the shade. For our Toyota, I find it works best to open it outside the open door, then insert it into the windshield. In our car, the shade is about an inch wider than the windshield on each side, which isn’t a problem; if anything, it’s good to keep all the light out. The velcro strap holds it nicely in place, and the shade completely keeps the sunlight out. This is especially nice where we live, where the temperatures get really hot.
Overall, this is a well made item that functions well, better than similar products I’ve used in the past. There’s a lot to like about it; good product.
