Ultimate upgrade for my old pellet grill
I finally decided to swap out the basic dial controller on my pellet grill for this Hungrill WiFi PID kit and it has been a total game changer for my backyard barbecue. The installation was pretty straightforward as a core upgrade for my older Traeger and the wiring matched up perfectly with my existing setup. The high-accuracy RTD grill probe is way more consistent than my old one and it actually keeps the temps within a few degrees of my target instead of swinging wildly. Having the smart APP control board means I can monitor my brisket from the couch or even while I am at the store without having to constantly run outside to check. It is great that it is universal enough to fit most Pit Boss, Z Grills, or Asmoke models if you are looking for better temperature stability. If you are tired of inconsistent cooks and want that modern WiFi convenience this controller is worth every penny.

My control panel display stopped working, so I bought this kit to refresh it. There were no instructions for the replacement process. I found a YouTube video that showed how to install and connect everything. I got the job done replacing the panel and the temperature probe while I was at it. Now it works great, completely compatible, fits well and the temperature is very consistent. Make sure you program for your model smoker which is very easy to do.
Works great, universal controller for all smokers with lots of features
I had an old rec-tec smoker that I use specifically for smoking nuts, and the controller went bad, so I took a gamble on this controller and it worked out great. It holds the temperature very accurately, which is important when roasting or smoking nuts. I found the control system to be intuitive, and it didn’t fit quite right but it’s also not intended for this type of smoker. Considering how accurate it is, and how well built and durable it is, along with the app connectivity, you would be a fool not to invest in this versus the original controller in your dial style Traeger or Pit boss.
Excellent upgrade for smarter and steadier pellet grill control
I installed this as an upgrade on my pellet grill and have been very happy with the results. The temperature control feels much more consistent, and the Wi-Fi feature makes it a lot easier to keep an eye on the cook without hovering around the grill the whole time. I also like having the added probe included, since it helps with more accurate readings and overall confidence during longer cooks. It feels like a worthwhile upgrade for anyone wanting better control, more convenience, and smoother grill performance.

This was a great Controller Replacement Kit! Its make really well and really looks so nice once installed. Definite upgrade! Installation was easy, and it fit and is compatible with our Pit Boss PB700D. Everything is functioning great, and I love all the different settings. The app makes everything so convenient and is user friendly. Great product and great value!
