These 18″ grates are the exact same size as my original Kamado Joe grates. They are sturdy and easy to clean. They use thick heavy duty stainless steel and work exactly the same as my originals. They seem like they will last.
Half Moon Grates That Hold Up Well Over Fire
This set includes two stainless steel half-moon cooking grates. While they are designed for grill use, I purchased them to use over my homemade fire pit instead. The half-moon shape is perfect for the size and layout of my pit.
The stainless steel feels solid and well-constructed. They are not overly thin, and they sit securely in place when positioned over the fire. I have used them a couple of times already, and they have held up very well to direct heat. There has been no warping or bending after use.
The size makes them flexible for different setups, whether you are using a traditional grill or adapting them for an outdoor fire cooking setup like I am. They provide a stable surface for cooking and clean up without much difficulty afterward.
If you are looking for durable stainless steel grates that can handle open flame cooking, these have performed reliably in my experience.
Versatile, heavy, rigid, stainless half grates, competitively priced.
I have been looking for a grate set up which will work with my fire pit. And this works perfectly. The fire pit has a tower rack. And this split set up accommodates the tower pole.
The half grates are made of thick, stainless steel rods. They are weighty and rigid, and will be durable. The grates include only the half moon pieces; no attachments, extensions or supports.
Cleaning the stainless grates will be easy. Simply spray with Dawn, let sit a minute and brush with a plastic brush. Stainless is so easy to clean. No need for dangerous wire brushes.
These grates are heavy duty, versatile and competitively priced. I think they are an excellent value.
Fits the kamado Joe Big Joe Exactly…Great Quality Too!
This 24 inch Staines’s steel grate 2 pack is an excellent value. These have a nice weight and thickness to them. The stainless steel is easy to clean without worrying about scratching or peeling. They withstand high heat and are very durable. The fit is the same as the originals. I’m very impressed with these as they fit my kamado Joe big Joe 24 inch setup.

Heavyduty!
These are perfect for why I got them. I have a Duraflame smokeless fire pit and I wanted to be able to cook food over it. These are slightly oversized for my fire pit but I wanted that so I could easily grab them with an oven bit to remove them. These are thick, high quality heavy pieces that look like they could take a beating for years to come. For their large size I think they are a good buy.
Sturdy construction, good weight, great grates!
Bought these to use as a rack across our fire pit when using our popcorn popper, making foil dinners and cooking with cast iron over the fire pit. These grates did NOT disappoint. They are heavy duty and do not bend even under heavy weight. The spacing of the bars is perfect and allows cookware to slide easily and food to not fall through easily. They are not too heavy to carry, but they are heavy enough to stay in position when cooking over our fire pit. I also love that there are two parts so you can have grates on half and can add wood from the other side. Great product!
Very strong grate that should last a long time

This is a strongly made grill grate. It is constructed with thick stainless-steel rods neatly welded to make two half round grates. Combined, it makes a nominal 24″ round grate. The actual diameter measurements of mine are just over 23″ for the straight edges and just under 23″ across the joined halves.
The split grate design is useful for having two heights from the heat source and allows one side to be removed to add charcoal to the grill while the food being grilled is moved to the other half.
This item only comes with the grate and not any support to rest the grate on, so you need to have a grill that is made for this style and size of grate, or another way to support it. I thought this was the case but wasn’t sure since the listing has pictures of the grate with metal supports.
I got this grate as a replacement for an old, thin and rusted steel grate that was on my round brick grill. The grate will rest directly on the brick, and it is strong enough that no support will be needed in the middle of the grate like I had to do with my old grate.
This is a very strong grate and being stainless steel, it should last a long time without rusting.
