I ordered this ribbon organizer 8 days ago because my handyman was scheduled to come this past week and finally, finally, FINALLY assemble the Sauder craft cabinet that I’d bought something like 15 years ago (yep!) – I’d found it impossible to put together myself (which is unusual for Sauder items) and basically gave up. I have an extra bedroom that I call my “project room” – I had my washer and dryer moved up there and it basically also became a room for small projects like sewing, crafts, etc. I collect ribbon (I know, how silly is that? But it is SO PRETTY and I use it as decor, usually in oversized mason jars) but also need to USE it sometimes, so this ribbon organizer is a perfect addition to my project room.
See my photos, please! The first is the instructions this ribbon organizer came with; I always wish they were included in the listing but they almost never are. The second photo is when I was most of the way through assembly on my dining table – said assembly was very quick and easy, taking maybe 10-15 minutes, as all the parts lined up with the holes perfectly. I brought the organizer upstairs to my project room (and then remembered that I now have a CRAFT CABINET so I could have assembled it up here, lol!), added a few spools of ribbon, snapped a photo – that’s the third picture. In the fourth picture, I just show how the bars for the ribbon stay in place – the assembly pieces included LOTS of these tiny rubber bands that actually WORK to keep the bars from moving (although I hadn’t yet put them on all the bars – I was eager to take my pictures!). The last photo shows my craft cabinet open with this new ribbon organizer plus some other decorative items on top. (My wonderful handyman JUST finished the cabinet assembly yesterday, so I haven’t loaded too much stuff into it yet – but oh, I will!!)
As you can tell, I LOVE this new organizer and especially love now having a dedicated spot for little, fun projects! Side note, I will actually be moving the ribbon organizer to the top of the cabinet next to the craft cabinet, as it is just over 2′ tall and my 1960 house has low ceilings, so on top of the craft cabinet it’s really out of room (plus I’m short, just 5’3″, so I would need a step stool to access the top bars). But I love how it looks in that room and I love its functionality.
And on that – it has 5 bars but I will likely end up using just 4 as that’s how my ribbon spacing will shape up (I have more spools to add) – you can adjust the bars to go wherever you want them as there are 9 holes for the 5 bars. Everything is metal (and feels very sturdy), except the little drawer on the bottom (it’s “open” – i.e., no top on it), which is fabric but fits perfectly and just slides in and out. If you like to use ribbon in your projects (or just like to look at the gorgeous designs on many ribbons!), this is a great item to buy, and at the current coupon price of $39.99 (as of 3/7/26), it’s affordable too.
