The Amazing Tiny
It’s a little annoying when it THINKS someone said a command word and does the action but other than that this camera is a Tiny amazing thing! It can track and in track you (not a fully 360 but like a 190) it can zoom in and out with a simple L shape of your fingers () that’s all I’ve figured out so far but I definitely recommend this camera! Ima gamer so I use it for discord and for Streaming! The camera quality is hella amazing too!
Obsbot Tiny 3 Lite Webcam - Small but mighty with crystal clear audio and images upto 4k!
I ordered this Obsbot Tiny 3 Lite webcam for my university aged daughter as their previous one had stopped working. She actually really likes it and says it’s far better than any of her previous webcams.
It’s very tiny but it’s so easy to set up and get it working. It clipped right onto her 27″ monitor very easily and is very securely attached. My daughter loves how it’s able to track her movements. The image quality (upto 4k) is also outstanding on her laptop and there is absolutely no delay on screen from real time movements. She currently has it set to 1080p at 120fps and is more than satisfied with how it looks onscreen. It also provides a clear and crisp image even in low light settings. This is definitely a far cry from the webcams I’ve used over the last twenty years.
One nice feature is that on the webcam itself, it shows you by having a small rectangular area just under the camera part, light up blue when it’s following your movements and yellow when the subject is out of range of being detected. You can also choose from three different tracking modes. My daughter has it set to only tracking her as she has a curious cat and didn’t want the webcam tracking the cat during gaming sessions. Another nice little feature is where you can simply turn it facing downwards to put the webcam to sleep.
She did have a brief delay when setting it up as it didn’t automatically download the app necessary for the device when it was detected by windows 11. She had to go to the website address provided and download it from there. But once installed she really liked the features available to her. It allows you to very easily record the moments it detects. Using the app you’re also able to ensure video quailty and different audio settings. There are both basic and advanced settings to be found in the app. Currently my daughter has been using a different speaker on a long arm setup and the app has had no issues at all picking up the audio. When playing back recorded videos the audio has been of a crystal clear quality.
Overall, my daughter has really been enjoying using this webcam and figuring out the different settings. So far it’s been working out great for her during both gaming sessions with her friends, and when she’s been in online meetings. Although a bit more on the pricier side at $299, my daughter is of the opinion that it delivers in terms of picture, video and audio quality. And for her that what matters the most when considering which webcam to choose.

I had been thinking about upgrading my webcam when this one became available for review. I have been happy with my old one, but it’s 14 years old now & wanted to try out features of modern ones.
I am very pleased with this Tiny 3 Lite camera. It is a definite upgrade over my old one. It has the capability to be so much more than a webcam, but so far, I’ve only used it as one.
Other parties in my video chats have commented on the clarity of the picture & say that my voice is clear.
I’m using this on a Windows 11 pc. To get the most out of this camera requires the use of OBSBOT software. I’m careful about installing software on my PC, but a Bitdefender scan indicated this was safe to use.
I’m no expert so opted for the ‘Lite’ interface, but when testing I found that separate audio & video files were being created. Switching to ‘Pro’ mode fixed this issue. There is a issue with tooltip in the software being hidden by my mouse pointer that changes into a hand icon. This may be due to my screen setup, but I’m not prepared to change it for this one program.
The camera can be controlled by voice. I’ve not used this a lot but worked well when I did. The standout feature for me though is the gimbal tracking. It effectively follows me when I change position. Impressive. I especially like how the camera moves to point straight down for privacy when in sleep mode.
Treat Yourself With A Better Webcam
If you know there’s a chance you’ll have to be adjusting the camera to get the right angle, just grab this one. Don’t even think. This will give you everything you need to stay on top of your webcam quality for the next few years. The picture looks great, though if it’s too dark you’ll still need a bit of light. The digital zoom is surprisingly good. It’s pretty much plug ‘n’ play once you download their software, though I wish they made it bigger on the packaging. There’s a lot of extra features, some you probably won’t even use, but just having them is great.

his camera is super tiny. way smaller than i expected. the face tracking is useful for you if you are moving around, ideal if you make content on social media etc. for me there is a little bit of lag in OBS and even more in another similar program where i have to leave it at 1080p instead of 4k and there is still lag. the picture quality is decent, i have a $60 unibody 4k cam that has the same or possibly better picture quality, so if you dont specifically need a PTZ cam you can probably save $100+. the audio was crystal clear doing a test recording. i had it on a small tripod on my desk and noticed the bottom got a little warm when i was adjusting the angle of the camera after a few minutes. all in all i give it 4 stars based on the price and lag i was experiencing
