Not good if you are tall
Great detector, but if you are tall, you will find that even with both shafts fully extended,it is short which makes you bend over slightly when swinging it. That bothered me,so I returned it. Nokta sells longer middle and lower shafts, but you pay over $50.00 which I find disagreeable. The pin pointer works great and I really liked it !
Excellent price and performance
This is my second triple score pro pack. Now I have a backup detector or one to loan out. I had been eyeing the accupoint pin pointer, and this version of the bundle came with it. The Bluetooth support on the pin pointer is a great feature too. The detector itself is wonderful.easy to use without too many setting to confuse you. If you are looking for a detector, you can’t go wrong with the triple score.
Solid feel, ease of assembly, value
I just received this today, I haven’t used it yet, but I can comment on the ease of assembly, individual charging cables for headphones, controls and pin-pointer. The handle fits comfortably. It has a solid feel about it.
I have an old Fisher, Bounty hunter and whites coin master, none of them feel this solid, can’t wait for charging to complete. Will give updates later.
I was lucky to find the option score 3 with 2 coils, headphones and pin pointer.
The only complaint, and I won’t take away a star, is it doesn’t come with charging bricks. Make sure to use the right voltage brick before using
I tried this hobby many years ago with a cheap Garret detector. Found a bunch of coins and even a silver pendant. I decided to upgrade this time, and while the Triple Score is a way better machine, it still has all the same unavoidable “problems”: pull tabs and gold sound the same, some bottle caps sound like silver coins. I think success has way more to do with site selection than how advanced your detector is, and what you think you can hear.
Nonetheless, it’s worth the price because it gives you the extra coil, a top-of-the-line pinpointer, and headphones. All of these make the experience much more pleasant for me, and buying them separately paired with a cheaper detector would just bring the price really close to what I paid for this PRO pack. So why not get a solid higher-end model for just a little extra?
Pros: Well-built and light, love the carbon fiber; battery lasts a good 10 hours with no backlight, love the rechargeable battery; water-proofing is solid, it’s just hard to move this thing under water due to resistance, and even harder to dig; signals are consistent and stable, not really as noisy as in some videos, especially with constant ground balance on; I didn’t like the way it sounded compared to Minelab, but I got used to it and even like it now!
Cons: settings will take some time to figure out; I don’t live that the control box doesn’t detach like the Minelab X-Terra, it makes it harder to pack. Bluetooth will connect to other non-Nokta headphones, but the delay might be insane, rendering it useless.
Love this pack overal, it feels like a workhorse that can last a long time. Good value.
