I picked up this Professional Metal Detector mostly for fun and now I fully understand how people get hooked on treasure hunting.
First of all, it feels solid and well-built — not flimsy or toy-like. The 10″ IP68 waterproof coil is a big plus, especially if you’re planning to search near water. Beach, riverbanks, wet sand — no problem.
The LCD display is clear and easy to read, even outdoors. I appreciate the different modes (Pinpoint, Disc, Memory, Jewelry, etc.) because it gives you more control instead of just digging up every random piece of metal. The discrimination feature helps filter out unwanted items, which saves a lot of unnecessary digging.
It’s adjustable and comfortable to hold, even during longer walks. The controls are straightforward enough that you don’t need a manual open the whole time.
I’ve used it outdoors and at the beach, and it’s surprisingly sensitive. It picks up small items well, and the pinpoint feature makes locating the exact spot much easier.

Found My First Treasure and It Was Not What I Expected
I got this metal detector mostly out of curiosity and honestly did not expect much. I figured I would walk around the yard for ten minutes, find a bottle cap, and call it a day.
Within five minutes, it started beeping near an old oak tree in the backyard. My heart actually sped up. I grabbed the shovel, dug carefully, and pulled out what looked like a dirty little coin. After rinsing it off, I realized it was a real coin that had been buried there for years. It was not valuable, but it felt like I had just discovered buried treasure. That one moment completely hooked me.
Since then I have found nails, screws, more coins, and plenty of random mystery objects. Every beep feels like a tiny surprise waiting underground. The pinpoint mode makes it much easier to find the exact location, and the display is clear and easy to understand. The waterproof coil gives me confidence to use it in wet grass and near water without worrying.
It feels sturdy, easy to set up, and comfortable to use. The included headphones and shovel make it feel like a complete kit instead of needing to buy extra things.

Easy to Use Detector That Performs Well Outdoors
This metal detector was easy to assemble and did not take long to get running. Controls are simple enough for beginners to understand. The LCD display is clear and useful while searching. Detection performance works well on different ground types. The waterproof coil adds flexibility for beach or river use. Build quality feels solid for the price. Storage and transport are convenient. Fit and adjustability are comfortable during longer use. Functionality across modes is reliable. For the performance offered, it provides excellent value for the money.
The construction quality is impressive as are the settings and functionality of the control box.
This is my first metal detector, and I am anxious to use it once the snow melts. I purchased an entry-level children’s metal detector a few months back for my granddaughter, and she loves it. Now, with this adult professional model, we can go out together on treasure hunting outings!
This unit is solidly built of anodized aluminum, with plastic used for the search head and control box. The construction quality is impressive and seen in details such as the knurled height adjustments and the secure manner in which the cord is attached to the control box. The control box is loaded with features, and the sensitivity settings, discrimination settings, and readings are much more precise than on older analog units. Unlike many products that say “Batteries Not Included”, this unit comes with the two necessary 9-volt alkaline batteries, which is a nice touch. Even the digging tool that is included is solidly built. The easy adjustments to the length of the stem make it easy to transition from use by adults to use by children.
My only semi-negative comments are that the cord could be two or three inches longer for use in the maximum height adjustment of the stem. I also doubt that the maximum height would make this unit suitable for use by a person taller than 6 ft. in height. Also, the backpack/storage back is worthless. I am not even sure if the entire unit would fit in this bag if it was totally disassembled, and who wants to have to assemble and disassemble their metal detector in the field. I would also feel pretty silly carrying a backpack with the goofy “METAL DETECTOR” text in large print.
