Cleared my crowded desk and was very easy to set up
I decided to get this because my desk was feeling a bit crowded. The package came with all the parts separated and setting it up took maybe fifteen minutes. I ended up using the C-clamp on the side of my white IKEA desk. It feels solid once you tighten the bottom knob. I did not need the grommet mount, but it was in the box in case I wanted to drill a hole later.
Right now I have a 24 inch monitor attached to it. The VESA plate was easy to slide onto the arm. One thing I noticed is that the gas spring tension needed some adjustment out of the box. I had to use the included hex key to tighten it so the monitor would not just sink down to the desk surface. Once that was set, it stayed in place.
I also tried out the laptop tray. It has these little clips on the side to keep the computer from sliding off. My 15 inch laptop fits with plenty of room to spare. It is nice to be able to swing the laptop out of the way when I need the desk space for writing. The arm moves smoothly, though it can be a little stiff at the joints if you do not loosen them slightly.
The cable management clips are just plastic. They do the job of holding the power cord and HDMI cable along the arm so they are not hanging down. It keeps things looking a bit cleaner. It works for what I needed without being too complicated to put together.
Good laptop and monitor amount, super versatile and high quality
First, I think I should give some backstory as to why I chose this product. I often use my laptop with my monitor and my docking station to connect it, but so far have just had my laptop sitting on the desk with screen open and, to be honest, this isn’t good for your neck and certainly isn’t efficient, as I’m sure you know if youre looking at this product. I recently got a new desk and so wanted to treat myself to a proper solution that allows me to use my laptop and my monitor comfortably.
I chose this stand in particular as I thought it looked sturdy and had a good price. I have not been disappointed.
You can feel the quality of this product as soon as you take it out of the box. Instructions are clear, screws are individually labelled which makes assembly easy, and as long as you follow the instructions it is a breeze which takes no time.
The stand securely clamps to a desk, and it even fits thick desks like mine very well.
The gas springs are adjustable and they are really handy for moving my laptop and monitor around easily to the perfect position for an optimal viewing angle.
What I like most about this stand is its versatility. Not only does it support having your laptop and an up to 34 inch monitor at the same time, it can also support dual monitors as the laptop stand is simply attached to the second VESA mount. This is absolutely fantastic as it means that if I ever upgrade to a full dual monitor setup I can just take off the laptop stand and attach my new monitor, no problem.
This kind of future proofing and versatility is what makes this product so great.

Immediately after taking it out of the box, I could feel this item was hefty in the hand and not some cheap stand/mount. I’m using it as a laptop stand and have it clamped to the back edge of my desk. It came with all the tools and bolts/nuts needed to setup, including bolts to mount a standard VESA monitor. If you choose the option to drill a hole in the desk to mount it, only then would you need your own drill.
Adjusting the tension of the mount/stand was a piece of cake and documented nicely in an easy to follow way in the instructions. My laptop is quite light so I was afraid that the tension in the arm would be too strong any my laptop would flip up. However, the manufacturer planned for this, the tray for the laptop is pretty hefty and it helps offset the tension in the arm so even lighter laptops can work with the mount.
The arm has many degrees of articulation where it seems only the most specific/obscure positions wouldn’t be achievable with this mount, whether it’s a laptop or monitor.
And finally, the cable management track on the arm works great as well. It is perfect for the USB cable coming out my laptop dock and I’d imagine it would be great for a power and video cable for monitors as well.

I ordered this to hold a laptop and cantilever it into a position so that I can see and reach it when I’m sitting in a recliner – which it does extremely well.
I knocked off one star because I was confused when I unpacked the product & wondered what on earth all the included hardware was for. Turns out that virtually all of the hardware – except for four small bolts and the laptop tray – is for mounting a monitor rather than than a laptop.
All the advertising photos show the product being used with the laptop tray, but the instruction manual is mostly about using the product as a monitor support and doesn’t even mention using it with laptop tray until you get to page 12.
So, it turns out that all the extra hardware was just that – extra.
Sturdy and very well built.
This mount arrived well packaged inside an Amazon box with no damage. Everything needed for installation was included, and the instructions were easy to follow. The unit itself is heavy in a good way — nearly all metal construction with only a small plastic cover on the upper arm for appearance. It feels very solid and well built.
Setup was straightforward and took only a few minutes using the included tools. Both clamp and grommet mounting options are supported. If you choose the grommet method, you’ll need your own drill, but otherwise no extra tools are required. The mount supports either a laptop using the included tray or a monitor once the tray is removed, which makes it very flexible depending on your setup.
In use, the arm holds position extremely well and adjusts smoothly. It’s easy to move into different heights and angles, and it stays where you put it. Once adjusted, it feels stable and secure with no sagging. For ergonomics and freeing up desk space, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
The only real downside is specific to the laptop tray configuration. The tray uses a Velcro strap to secure the laptop, and based on how the laptop sits, that strap needs to be removed before closing the screen. If you frequently open and close your laptop, this can get annoying. Without the strap, the laptop is still supported, but it’s only resting on a small front lip, which may concern some users.
Overall, this is a very sturdy, well-designed mount that feels like it should last for many years. As long as you’re aware of the minor inconvenience with the laptop strap, it’s a solid option for either laptop or monitor use and a big upgrade for desk organization.

This desk arm from Huanuo offers the versatility to either use it as a laptop stand or a monitor stand.
The build of the stand feels decent with a mix of plastic and metal materials. The metal is a little thinner in spots compared to other arms I have used, but that hasn’t been problematic at all. You do need to assemble the arms depending on how you will be mounting it and what device you’ll be using it with. The arms have some cable management channels built in to help keep things tidy.
The main desk clamp can be assembled to either clamp onto the edge of a table or through a hole in the table. The opposite end mounts to your monitor or the included laptop tray depending on how you’ll be using it. The arm comes with all the screws you need, some monitor spacers, and a couple of Allen keys. Overall, the assembly is pretty quick and easy.
I am using this stand for a laptop and have it clamped to the edge of a desk. The attached monitor tray is sturdy-feeling metal with silicone pads for extra grip and protection. The stand comes with a strap to place around your laptop when open, near the hinges to help secure it, which is a nice addition.
The arm has several adjustment screws to control the tension of all of its joints. The main arm has a screw you need to adjust depending on the weight of your device. It is easy to access with the included Allen key above the joint where the two arms connect. Like any similar arm, you just need to adjust it at first so that the arm stays in place where you leave it without sagging or raising on its own.
The rest of the joints for adjusting the angle of the monitor are friction-based and have screws to tighten or loosen them if necessary. In combination with being able to raise, lower, and swing the arms, the end can pivot up, down, sideways, as well as rotate (for monitors), so it’s easy to get it to your desired position and angle.
The arm functions well. It holds its position nicely once adjusted and is very convenient how easily you can move it over your desktop. I position it higher and near the back of the desk when I need the space to work on, but swing it out closer in front of me when actually working on the laptop.
This is very convenient for my needs as I can use it as a background monitor that’s out of the way when I’m not actually working on the laptop itself as heavily.
For laptop use, I wouldn’t suggest actually doing a lot of typing directly on the laptop while it’s on the arm. It’s not really intended for that as it bounces around a bit and moves easily. I use a separate, wireless keyboard and mouse for it while on the stand, and that setup works out great. It is much nicer ergonomically as it allows me to position the screen higher at a more comfortable viewing level while the mouse and keyboard are at desk height.
Overall, the arm functions as you would expect. There are a lot of monitor arms out there, but not many that also allow laptop use, so if that is an aspect that sounds handy for you, then this arm is worth a look.
