It is heavy and cumbersome to transport once out of the box. Super easy assembly with a manual Phillips screwdriver. Power screwdriver will over torque and strip the screw. Instructions provide plenty of information. Great product and easy warranty registration.
Quality
I compared this reel to one’s at my local big box store. This one cost a little bit less at the sale price and was obviously better quality. At that point a bought this one and am very pleased.
The quality is outstanding. The color is very dark. Darker than the pictures show. I was worried it might be tan in color but is a very dark brown.
The packaging was impressive as well. Three layers of cardboard and bubble wrap. It’s a big heavy box and was not damaged.
I highly recommend this product.
I’m really impressed with this heavyduty hose reel. The steel frame and 4leg base make it feel solid and stable, even when the hose is fully extended. I love that it doesn’t require any mounting just set it where you want it, and it’s ready to go. The 200lb rated base definitely shows in how steady it stays during use. The manual crank turns smoothly, and the builtin hose guide keeps everything winding evenly without bunching up. The aluminum water system is a big plus too no leaks, no drips, and it connects cleanly to a standard garden hose. It easily holds my 125 ft, 5/8″ hose with room to spare. The materials feel durable, and the overall design looks clean on the deck. If you want a hose reel that’s sturdy, leakfree, and doesn’t wobble or tip over, this one is worth it.

Wow. this is super nice – heavy feeling – high quality hose reel box. I’ve had plastic ones, and they move around while you spin the reel – this thing is solid. The front piece alignes the reel while bringing it in, making a nice smooth distribution of the hose like a fishing rod. This will sit in the sun, so I’m hoping the metal will last longer than plastic that degrades quickly in the sun. The hose it comes with (from wall spout to the reel is solid and feels like industrial quality hose / connectors. Overall super solid reel – would recommend if you want a higher end higher quality reel.

This hose reel is a game-changer! Heavy duty, sturdy, and no mounting needed. Keeps our 125 ft hose neat and tidy. Plus, the manual crank makes it surprisingly easy to use. Landscaping just got easier!
sadly, it’s really hard to find a good hose reel. A lot of them were just made a cheap plastic that break very quickly when I found a steel one I jumped at it. It comes almost fully assembled. Just have to attach the four legs and the screw handle. Everything is steel and paint painted so resting is at a minimum. it holds up to 125 feet but as you can see, I use the flat hoses and this is already 100 feet and there’s probably room for another hundred in there. It has an auto winding tool so as the hose comes in and out the small arm move back-and-forth along the front to make sure the hose rolls back onto the real evenly a really nice feature that seems to work, smooth smoothly and well. it’s well-made and a great value for the money. I also like the fact that it’s fairly heavy so it doesn’t move as you’re pulling out the hose especially if you’ve got 100 to 200 feet of hose that you’re pulling out the plastic ones always seem to follow you around this one stays put. Highly recommended.
