Cute case with a ton of features!
This was a great little project, offering some substantial upgrades for a pi 5. The price seems incredibly reasonable, and the metal case feels solid and the acrylic is thick enough to add support to the structure. It looks and behaves just like a miniature desktop. The software and instructions were easy to set up despite my very limited knowledge of Linux based systems, but the instructions point to where stronger coders looking for more customization can find the values in the backend. It stays nice and cool. Almost too cool, as even under load the tower fan doesn’t engage often. It doesn’t turn on until the pi reports 50 Celsius by default.

I rarely write reviews but when I do it's bc the product is amazing!
I’ve tried a lot of Raspberry Pi cases over the years and most of them are basically just plastic shells with small fans. This one is on a completely different level. After putting it together, it honestly feels less like a “case” and more like a tiny desktop computer built around the Pi 5.

The biggest upgrade for me was the NVMe support. Being able to run the Pi from an SSD instead of an SD card makes a huge difference in speed and reliability. Having two NVMe slots is also really cool if you want to experiment with storage setups or run something like a small NAS or an AI accelerator.

The screens are a really nice touch. The touchscreen is great for system dashboards or quick controls, and the little OLED display adds some useful system info. It makes the whole setup feel much more polished than a typical Raspberry Pi build. Lets not forget that the screen is integrated into the case and YOU CHOOSE HOW (landscape on the side or portrait in the front like me).

Cooling is also excellent. The tower cooler and the extra fans keep the Pi surprisingly cool even when it’s under heavy load. I was expecting the cooling to be a bit overkill, but if you plan to actually push the Pi 5 it’s nice to know thermals won’t be an issue.

The speakers are what you expect if that makes sense. I appreciate that they make it apart of the setup but don’t expect an audiophile experience.

RGB fans on a Raspberry Pi might be unnecessary, but it definitely gives it that tiny gaming PC vibe. I love that you can customize the color, movements and effects in the Freenove software.

A couple things to keep in mind:

Assembly takes some time. There are a lot of components and cables because of the fans, screens, and storage. It’s not difficult, but you should plan to spend a little while putting everything together. They provide a very detailed tutorial so I was able to watch a show and do the assembly at the same time lol.

You will want a good power supply. With everything running you should use a proper 5V/5A supply to keep things stable.

The fans are noticeable if they are running at full speed. It’s not loud, but it isn’t silent either. The good news is you can TUNE the fan settings (again like a real PC haha).

Overall I genuinely love this thing. If you just want a basic Pi case, this is probably more than you need. But if you want to turn your Raspberry Pi 5 into a small server, NAS, media box, or just a really cool desk setup, this kit is fantastic. It makes the Pi feel like a real mini computer instead of just a board in a box. Check out my pictures to see it compared to the other guy. If I buy another Pi case, it will be from Freenove hands down.

The cost is definitely reasonable when you consider everything you get. SSD prices alone are going up so a 128gb nvme drive + the screen and the ssd hat alone account for almost 3/4th of the price.

Complete project kit to modernize the Raspberry Pi 5
This kit transforms a standard Raspberry Pi 5 into something that looks and feels like a professional mini computer. The build process is definitely a project and it took me over an hour to get everything together properly. The online video tutorials are clear and easy to follow which is helpful because there is a lot of internal cabling for the fans and displays. One small annoyance was peeling the protective film off the acrylic panels but the end result looks very premium.
Performance is the biggest highlight here. Moving from a micro SD card to the included 128GB SSD makes the whole operating system feel much more responsive and quick. Having four M.2 slots provides massive storage potential for a home server or a NAS setup. It is important to note that the Pi itself cannot boot directly from a RAID array so you will still need to manage that during your initial setup. The cooling system is excellent. With five PWM fans and a dedicated tower cooler the temperatures stay very low even during heavy tasks.
The integrated 4.3 inch touchscreen is bright and responsive which is great for monitoring system stats without needing a separate monitor. The built in speakers and back ports make the entire setup very clean on a desk. The ARGB lighting is fully customizable and adds a nice modern look to the case. While it requires some patience for the assembly and software setup the final product is a very capable and polished system. It is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants to push their Pi 5 to its full potential as a desktop or media server.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAssemble critique
Assembly went well, although the instructions suggests teenagers should be able to assemble it. I worked as a professional assembly guy for several years, and it is fairly intricate for kids. The top lid is where the expansion jack opening is and the expansion jack is supposed to protrude into top lid, but the opening is to small. Also the sd card socket is the push in and latch type. But it’s to far from the inside of the case, so it never latches when you pushy in the SD card. Thus Making it useless. It also would be nice if the speakers where on ether side of case.

    Cool little case
This little raspberry pi case is very cool. Mine came already halfway pre-assemble. All though it was missing one piece and one of the clips for the ribbon to connect to the board, it was broken. But luckily it didn’t affect the raspberry pi and everything was running fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHigh-Performance Raspberry Pi 5 Case
This Raspberry Pi 5 Case Kit Pro is honestly one of the most complete and well-thought-out Pi cases I’ve used. It turns the Pi 5 into something that feels more like a compact desktop or mini server rather than a simple board in a box.

The dual M.2 NVMe slots are a huge upgrade. Booting and running the system from an SSD is noticeably faster than an SD card, and having two slots opens the door for storage projects like a small NAS or RAID setup. Setup was straightforward using the online tutorial provided on the box.

Cooling is excellent. With five controllable fans and a proper tower CPU cooler, temperatures stay very stable even under load. I like that fan speeds can be tied to temperature or set manually, and advanced users can customize everything with Python if they want.

The ARGB lighting is another nice touch. All the fans and LEDs are fully controllable, with plenty of preset effects or the option to customize colors and brightness. It looks great on a desk without being over the top.

The built-in media features really set this case apart. The 4.3″ touchscreen is responsive and useful for system stats or controls, the small OLED screen is a nice bonus, and the built-in speakers and audio output make it feel like a complete standalone unit.

Overall, this is an excellent choice if you want a premium, feature-packed enclosure for your Raspberry Pi 5. Just make sure you have a proper 5V/5.1V 5A power supply and your own SSD or SD card. Highly recommended for anyone building an advanced Pi setup.

    🖥️ A Feature‑Packed, High‑End Enclosure for Serious Pi Builds
This case is one of the most ambitious Raspberry Pi enclosures on the market. It’s not just a shell — it’s practically a full miniPC chassis designed specifically to unlock everything the Pi 5 can do. For anyone building a NAS, media server, or a flashy desktoy system, it’s a brilliant starting point.

    Build Quality & Design
Solid, wellengineered construction with a premium feel.

Everything fits together cleanly, and the internal layout is thoughtfully designed.

The exposed GPIO and card slot are practical touches for tinkering.

Overall, it feels more like a compact ITX case than a typical Pi enclosure.

    Dual NVMe SSD Support
Two M.2 NVMe slots is a huge upgrade over SD cards.

    Perfect for:

    NAS builds

    RAID setups

    Fast system disks

PCIe 2.0 speeds (up to ~500 MB/s) are a massive improvement over SD card limits.

SSDs aren’t included, but the flexibility is excellent.

Do note: the Pi still needs a microSD card to boot, even if the OS later runs from SSD.

    ARGB Lighting System
Five ARGB fans + 12 case LEDs.

Fully controllable effects: rainbow, breathing, flowing, static colours.

Supports Python programming, which is a fun bonus for custom lighting scripts.

Great for anyone who enjoys a bit of flair in their builds.

    Cooling System
Four case fans + a tower cooler with its own fan.

All PWMcontrolled with dynamic or fixedspeed modes.

Temperaturebased control (CPU or case) works well for quiet operation.

Overkill for a Pi? Maybe — but it keeps temps low and looks impressive.

    Media Features
4.3″ IPS touchscreen (800480) — bright, responsive, and perfect for dashboards.

0.96″ OLED for system stats or custom info.

Stereo speakers + 3.5mm audio out built in.

Dual HDMI passthrough for full Pi 5 display support.

The touchscreen relies on Freenove’s software, so Raspberry Pi OS is required.

    RealWorld Impression
A genuinely fun, featurerich case that turns the Pi 5 into a mini desktop system.

Ideal for media servers, dashboards, NAS builds, or just a flashy hobby project.

The price is very reasonable considering the cooling, lighting, touchscreen, and SSD support.

Build quality is excellent — sturdy, welldesigned, and clearly engineered with care.

    Verdict
A superb, enthusiastgrade Raspberry Pi 5 case with serious functionality and great value. If you want more than a basic enclosure and enjoy tinkering, this is one of the best Pi cases available.
