Product description
Worked great right of the box for blu-rays, but found this external drive could not play dvds. It would recognize and I could see files, but not playing even using the software (Leawo) they said to use. Tried VLC, and then knew it was the drive. Checked the region, it was set to 2 out the box, so changed it to region 1. Dvds viewed just fine after that, but pixelated and jumpy in Leawo software. I sent the bug file onto Leawo, but I don’t need it as I got VLC to work and prefer what I am more familiar with!
Great for regular blu ray
I bought it to backup my movie library to a hard drive. It will do Blu-ray no problem. It WILL NOT burn a regular dvd. When I burn a regular dvd I get a bunch of region errors. It also will not burn a 4k blu ray.

This product has been awesome!!! Works smooth and is actually quite fast In the rewrite process. I’m just hooking it up to a basic Acer laptop and it works great.
Very quiet, speedy and super powerful drive. I use with Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs — (READS Blu-ray only, reads and writes DVDs & CDs).It works perfectly with my laptop. USB cable could have been installed differently on the unit instead of straight off the back, but overall and excellent unit. Does the job quickly, quietly and accurately! Would highly recommend.
