I was worried it wouldn’t play or rip blu rays. Other players lack the power to read them, but this item came with an extra micro usb cord to give it enough power. Super pleased to have an external optical drive that will read blu rays.

I spent over $100 last month on a nice ASUS Blu-ray drive after doing a lot of research, and it was a dud. I impulse-bought this drive this week for $50, and it works great on my Windows PC. I already had VLC installed for media play and MakeMKV installed for ripping Blu-rays, so this drive is truly plug and play. I wish I had found this sooner!
It would not read discs consistently until I turned it on its edge so the disc is vertical, now it reads every disc consistently. Still very good product for the price.
