Great product, 1 glaring issue.
I would love this mug if they fixed one part. First, it’s a wonderful mug. Keep in mind only about the top half of it is usable space. The bottom half of the mug is the heating element and battery. They include two different style caps, I prefer the push-button style over the always-open lip style. It’s quite heavy for a travel mug but I figure it needs to be to be able to keep your drinks warm for as long as it does. So far it’s kept my coffee warm for multiple 8 hour sessions. I set the temperature through the app (easy). App is barebones but it connects and gets the job done. However, for $200 – there’s a big issue. It’s SO easy to turn it on. Turning it off requires you to place your finger over the power button for a long period of time (I think it was something stupid like 10 seconds?). I don’t turn it on immediately when I fill it up in the morning because the mug itself is well insulated and keeps it warm for the first hour or two without turning it on. But it’s SO easy when grabbing it to take a sip that it inadvertently turns itself on and starts wasting battery. Then you have to go through the process of holding down the power button to turn it off and then the next time you pick it up, it turns on again. I would fix that in future iterations.
Charging base is solid and charges quickly. Cute LED display. Tells you the temperature it’s set to and battery level. Get lots of questions about my mug with a display. Most people don’t know smart travel mugs exist. Great conversation starter at the least! Would I buy for $200? I don’t know. A thermos for $25 does the same thing. But it’s nice being able to keep my stuff hot for a long, long time.
Doesn't hold much, but keeps it warm
I’m not sure if I love this or am annoyed by it. I do love my coffee hot though and this does just that. I usually use a bigger thermos and like to add 2/3 coffee to 1/3 creamer (or a little more) so this doesn’t hold as much as I’m used to and kind of defeats the purpose of keeping it hot when I have to go fill it up again, but that’s just me.
It’s a fun little coffee gadget if you need a gift for someone that loves coffee, this is a cool gift, though hopefully it’s a near and dear loved one priced just under $200. I honestly don’t think it’s worth all that, but even the less expensive ones still run near $150.
I was a bit frustrated just wanting a quick read to charge and use this. I mean, it’s basically self explanatory, but I felt compelled to read instructions and literally no where does it say how to charge it. Like I said, self explanatory to put it on the charger and plug it in and the icon on the side of the mug shows you what’s happening, but I was determined to find that instruction and could not find it on the paper included. I then went to the app where it said to click to get the manual and that came up with an error that the PDF could not be found. I went back to the paper and read it again and none of it was very useful. I just feel like a one page with simple steps would have made more sense.
It did arrive with a very plastic-y smell and had to soak the caps in soapy water and wash the inside several times and have them air out before use.
I appreciate the 2 lids, but like the basic little hole concept like most others have though this one has no way of covering the hole while driving or just to keep the warmth in, so that’s a little irritating. The other push in lid I really couldn’t figure out how to drink out of it without using my finger to push it in. Just trying to drink and have it auto push in against my mouth didn’t work like others, so again frustrating and nothing in the instructions how to use something that is seemingly so simple. The instructions are overly complicated and don’t point out the obvious IMO. Lastly, the stickers on the outside didn’t come off cleanly and one left a little blemish I cannot remove. I feel like for the price, I want the exterior of my mug to look shiny and new.
The app is cool, but to me not really necessary. Knock half off the price and get rid of the app and it would be a big win for me. Overall, pretty happy though. It’s fun, for now, until I get tired of refilling it because it really doesn’t hold that much.

This is one of those things where you wonder how you managed without it. Makes mornings so much more easy, because i can just throw my tea in it and worry about it later on . It does have an app, but i prefer just changing the temp on the front of it, simple controls are the best for me. IT does a great job of keeping my tea at the exact temp i like, i guess it could be bit bigger, but it’s the right size for me tea or coffee, so I’m quite happy with the size honestly. The battery lasts longer than I’ve ever needed it to, i must admit that I’ve ever tried to see how long it can hold the tea to temp as it’s never once failed me. It’s price is actually quite good, when you consider the cost of some of the high end cups like this that aren’t heated, so there is really nothing to complain about here. the charging pad is awesome, just use it as a coaster and you’re always all set, they really did a great job designing this one.
One final thought on this.. The presentation and packaging is exceptional, and while this isn’t something i personally care about, if i think about this as a gift, that presentation really adds value. So if you are considering this as a gift, it’ll leave a great impression when they first open it as well.
