Quality
I thought the product was excellent, but I did not realize when I ordered it that it was not something that I needed. I thought it was a green screen and when there was no cloth in there, I realized I ordered the wrong thing so I returned it. But for the use it was intended. I thought it was great.
Good for now and the future!
I do many shows in the original backdrop holder that I bought had seen better days so when researching the ones that I wanted, this one stood out in a big way! Not only did it have rollers, which made it easy to move, but it’s base was not in a tripod, which would impede the surrounding area and be a tripping hazard. And I love that it has the ability to expand or be as small as I want. It is good for now and in the future! So happy I found this !
Good backdrop stand, not great.. but good. And it rollls so that is AWESOME!!!
Okay, first the good::
It rolls. That is really something I cannot understate. We use backdrops and being able to roll this one out of the way and all… that is a great thing. My other one does not roll.
It is pretty big. I mean… you can have an entire crew in front of it for a photo op. That is also a really great thing.
It assembles easy. I mean, a friends 10 year old kid helped my wife set it up at a convention. So that is also great.
It is heavy, but not too heavy. Like… you can lift the storage bag and put it in your trunk ect.. SO that is also a good thing.
And it is functional. You can take it anywhere you need it, set it up and roll it in place. Those are all great things.
Now for the bad::
This goes for functionality, ease of use, weight, and quality… It is kind of wimpy. If you are using anything but the lightest backdrop… it will droop in the middle. It really needs a support pole in the middle to help hold it up. Also.. just FOUR clamps for a backdrop frame this wide. Thankfully they are cheap and I bought a bag of them. I also added a middle pole for support. When you have to re engineer something to make it work… the thing does not deserve the highest praise.
I would give this 3.5 stars out of 5. I gave it 4 because it really is a good backdrop stand, in spite of its shortcomings.
Would I recommend this… not to someone who depends on stuff like this being perfect. But for the casual influencer to lie about being in Paris, France when they are really in Paris, Texas… yeah, it will do. We use it at cons and events a lot. Just a bit or fenagling but it is still good even without. Just use lighter backdrops.
A backdrop that works for photography and even as a projector screen.
I have been using this backdrop frame for a bit now, mainly for photography at home and also as a projector screen, and it has worked out really well for both. I was looking for something that was flexible enough to use in different situations, and this ended up checking a lot of boxes for me.
Setup was very easy. I was honestly surprised how quick it went together the first time. The pieces fit together without any hassle, and I did not feel like I needed instructions glued to my face to figure it out. Once it was assembled, the frame felt very solid. It does not have that flimsy feeling that some cheaper frames have. Everything locks into place well and feels secure.
We actually took this camping with us and used it as a projector screen, which was a big test. There were some decent gusts of wind while we were out there, and the frame held up way better than I expected. It stayed upright and did not wobble or feel like it was going to tip over. That alone made me really happy with it, because outdoor use can be rough on this kind of stuff.
The wheels are a really nice touch. Being able to roll it around instead of lifting it makes a big difference, especially once you have a backdrop or screen attached. I could easily move it around the yard or reposition it for photos without struggling. The wheels roll smoothly and lock in place when you want it to stay put.
The carrying case is also very handy. Everything fits inside nicely, and it makes storing it or taking it somewhere much easier. It is not overly bulky, which I appreciate since storage space is always an issue.
If I had to point out any downsides, it would be that it does take up a decent amount of space once fully set up, so it is not something you can just tuck into a tiny corner when in use. Also, while it is sturdy, it is still a frame, so I would not leave it outside unattended for long periods in bad weather.
Overall, this backdrop frame has been exactly what I was looking for. It works great for photography, and it surprised me with how well it worked as a projector screen while camping. It feels sturdy, is easy to move around, and packs up nicely when you are done. I would definitely recommend it if you want something versatile that actually holds up in real use.

I couldn’t believe what great quality this is for this price so sturdy and easy to assemble no mor messing with wonky pop together ones can hardly wait to use it this week end
