I’ve had this electric heated towel warmer installed in our bathroom for a couple of weeks now because I wanted to really test it before writing a review. I’ve never owned anything like this before—growing up the closest thing we had to warm towels was pulling them straight out of the dryer—so this felt like a bit of a luxury at first.
We are currently renting, so we used the plug-in option and mounted it on the wall in our bathroom. Installation was pretty straightforward, and I really like that the wiring can go from either the left or right side. That made it much easier to work with the layout of our space.
The warmer itself is very well made and feels high quality. It starts heating quickly, and by the time you’re done with your shower your towel is warm and cozy. After a long day, stepping out of the shower and wrapping up in a warm towel instead of a cold one is honestly the best feeling. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes everyday routines feel a little more relaxing.
I also appreciate the top shelf design. You can lay folded towels or a robe on top, or just use the bars if you prefer. Our bathroom is on the smaller side, so having that extra flexibility helps a lot with space and storage.
The temperature controls and timer are nice features as well. We haven’t even used the hottest setting yet because the lower levels have been plenty warm for us. It doesn’t feel dangerously hot to the touch, but I still stay cautious since I have a 5-year-old around.
Another unexpected bonus I discovered is that warming a hand towel works really well for soothing monthly cramps. Heating pads can sometimes be too intense for my skin, but a warm towel from this rack feels much gentler and really comforting.
While it is on the pricier side, I really feel like this is one of those investment pieces that will last a long time. It’s built extremely well, looks sleek, and adds a small luxury to everyday life.
Overall, I highly recommend it.
Warm, Cozy Towels Every Time!
I’m really impressed with this heated towel rack. It has a sleek, modern design that looks great in the bathroom and doesn’t take up too much space. The black finish gives it a clean, stylish look that fits well with modern dcor. The rack heats up nicely and does a great job warming towels so they feel cozy and comfortable after a shower. It’s also great for helping towels dry faster, which keeps them from getting that damp smell. The bars provide plenty of space to hang multiple towels, and the overall construction feels sturdy and well made. Another thing I like is that it’s simple and easy to use, just turn it on and let it do its job. If you enjoy the feeling of a warm towel after a shower, this rack is a great addition to your bathroom. Highly recommend for a little everyday luxury!
Good for pool days
We still have this in it’s box but our friend has one. It works great! We intend to use it for pool days so we all have nice warm towels to dry off with. With any heated device, just don’t leave it plugged in if you’re worried! Heats towels fairly fast and you feel like you’re being embraced by a warm hug.
Pro's & Con's
I have been using the same towel warmer for nearly 20 years! See image. It’s 25W, circulates warm oil inside and reaches 135 degrees F. It has basically been on 24/7 all that time. For a single old man it adds a little warmth to the bathroom and lets me use the same towel over and over each day. Watt meter shows the cost is $0.34 daily.
Curiosity led me to try out this expensive fancy wall mount warmer. Should i upgrade?
Pros: looks sharp and heated shelf is great if you are running a Turkish bath house and need to have multiple towels ever ready!
Timers: I guess this is useful if for some reason you want to plot out warming schedule.
Heat control: Makes sense if there is some complexity to your warming needs.
Con’s: Biggest con: the price. Seems excessive. Other models are less by far. Perhaps it is the top shelf feature that sets this style aside from the rest.
Next, the control is on the right side as you face it. In my case this makes control back in the corner and not so easy to see and set.
Ease of use: I can reach both sides of my old warmer easily, draping a towel over it is a snap. Whereas with the wall mount you must thread each item between the slots. Not a deal breaker but noticeable.
I’d give it an A for stylishness and multiple features.
