Tip: Occasional and appropriate manual vent adjustments help the smart fan re-establish a stable thermal equilibrium more efficiently.

  • When the temperature is too high: Please narrow both the fan intake and the grill's exhaust vent to restrict airflow for a rapid cool-down.
  • When the temperature is too low: Please widen both the fan intake and the grill's exhaust vent to boost airflow for a quick temperature rise.
  • When using Breezo for the first time and you're unsure of the vent settings, a good starting point is to keep the top vent only slightly open—a diameter of about 3mm (1/8 inch) is usually perfect.

Note: For high-temperature safety reasons, the Breezo does not include a built-in battery. It must be continuously powered by a 5V 2A DC adapter or a power bank connected with a USB-C charging cable.

  • Where should I install the Breezo on my smoker or grill?

Locate the vent on your smoker and, if it has an existing opening or hole, position the Breezo Fan to block it, sealing any gaps with high-temperature tape.

  • My air inlet is a ball valve, do I need an additional adapter?

For some devices with ball valves as air intakes (such as OCGF, OKJ, etc.), you may need our Mounting Kit for installation, which you can purchase on our website.

  • My fan does not respond when pressing the Power/Switch Button.

Verify if the fan switch in the app was turned on. If the app switch is active, the physical fan button will be disabled. Confirm you are using the included power adapter and cable. If it still fails, reconnect the S1 and the fan.

  • Is this Breezo waterproof?

Like other fans on the market, this fan is not waterproof. Please cover it during use to prevent accidental rain.

    ChefsTemp and Breezo
I am smoking a brisket as well speak and the ProS1 and Breezo are working perfectly . Temp has stayed a constant 203. We will know in 10hrs if is was worth it.

Take the leap! It's worth it!
After years of struggling to maintain temp for low n slow on my Kettle Joe, I finally decided to get this along with along with the Chefstemp S1. What a difference! Works amazingly. I should have done this a long time ago. If you are considering this, do yourself a favor and take the leap and but this and the Chefstemp S1!

Good product but needs better documentatio
It does a good job of keeping the temp constant, as long as you have the vent settings correct. The documentation is incomplete in that they don’t tell you how to install the spring and they don’t tell you how to set your vents (on the fan or grill) for temps. For example, today, I set the temp in the grill for 200F. But it went up to 240F. I’m pretty sure that’s because I had the top vent on my grill open too wide. I wish they’d give some guidance. But overall the product works well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersTheir support changed my initial impressions
I’ve been using a BBQ Guru DigiQ on my BGE for many years, and, sadly, I haven’t been impressed with the Breezo paired with a S1. At least so far. I’ll admit, there may be more of a learning curve with this one than I expected, though. Especially with how much to adjust the damper. I have watched more than a few YouTube videos on setting up and using this combo, but many of them have wildly varying recommendations on how to set the fan damper and the top vent. The Breezo puts out quite a bit more air than the Pit Viper fan on my BBQ Guru. With the damper mostly open, it was difficult to get the fire going. It blows constantly (at least until it gets closer to the set target temp), which seemed to keep the charcoal from getting a good burn going. I’ll admit, this was the opposite effect that I was expecting. My BBQ Guru would pulse the fan to stoke the fire, which always worked great to get my the smoker up to temp pretty quickly. After nearly 45 minutes and still not having enough coals to amount to anything, I decided to try pausing the Breezo briefly every few minutes, which actually helped quite a bit. I also had trouble reaching the target temp set on my S1. It seemed to always level out around 20 – 30 degrees below the desired temp, forcing me to increase the target temp in order to get close to what I desired. By no means has it been the “set it and forget it” simplicity that was claimed. I’m hoping that this will improve as I get a better feel for the damper/vent settings, and if so, I’ll revise my rating.

Something that I feel could have been designed better is the adapter plate. Rather than having to remove the plate entirely in order to shut down the smoker, why not have a plug of some sort that could be put in the hole after removing the Breezo? That way, the air flow could be sealed off and the plate could be left in place. I’m considering ordering the universal mounting adapter kit so that I can use it with the round 30mm port on my BBQ Guru adapter plate, which came with a rubber plug to seal it off.

To be honest, I’m really trying to like this, and I haven’t given up hope; but my initial impression is that it doesn’t live up to the hype. 🙁

    ***** Update 1/21/26
After my review, ChefTemp reached out to offer assistance. They have been amazing at helping to troubleshoot and tune my setup. I’ve done a few more cooks since then and the results are getting better. I’ve been really impressed with ChefTemp’s support.
