Product description

An excellent starter kit for birders
The JOYWINK Bird Feeding Station Kit is an excellent starter kit for birders. It includes everything you need to attract and feed birds to your backyard.
Installation is mostly straightforward, except for the squirrel baffle. There were no instructions for assembling the baffle, but a close-up image on the Amazon product page makes it easy to do. However, there’s a minor issue: the baffle lacks a slider or protective ring that allows it to move up and down without scratching the pole. To fix this, I made my own plastic slider from an old seasoning bottle and some duct tape. Here’s how I did it: cut the ends off the bottle (about 2 inches from a 1.5-inch diameter bottle is sufficient), then add a few strips of duct tape to fit the baffle hole precisely, leaving a small lip on the top to prevent it from going all the way through. Finally, tape it from the underside to secure it.
The station is reasonably well-made and sturdy when assembled and installed in your yard. The feed tube and suet cage are quite basic compared to other market options. If you’re serious about bird feeding, you’ll eventually replace these with better-quality ones.
The squirrel baffle is a great design. I haven’t had the station up long enough to see how the squirrels will navigate it. My backyard squirrels are quite clever and will likely try jumping from the nearby tree or birdbath instead. I’ve seen them jump almost 10 feet from a tree and successfully reach one of my other feeders, so I’ll probably need to relocate this new one once they figure it out.
The kit includes four feed hanging arms and two trays for water and seeds. I’ll likely use just one feeder if I’m using the two trays, as birds will perch directly above them. While the trays are a nice idea, I’ve found they get dirty quickly with any feeders and landing arms above. Birds tend to drop seed, shells, and droppings on anything below.
It only took a couple of hours for birds to find and start using it. I’m sure it will be popular as I have dozens of birds visiting my other feeder nearby.
Overall, I like the JOYWINK Bird Feeding Station Kit as a secondary feeding station (I already have a large, heavy-duty, multi-feed one).
Love it!
This product is very good quality and with easy assembly instructions. It is actually taller than I thought it would be. The fact the baffle is metal means my black squirrels cannot chew at it.
Works great once you figured out how to installed the anti squirrel skirt! This is not within the instruction given. Had to go back to the website and saw a picture how the skirt was installed on top coil. Seems sturdy enough and well made. Time will tell. In the meantime the birds seem to enjoy the setting.

Just installed same day it was received. Took about an hour. Instructions were more than adequate. Parts came well packaged and well protected and extra screws and nuts provided “just in case”. Will see how squirrel proof it is once they realize it exists .. in the meantime the blue jays, cardinals, blackbirds and red headed woodpecker that have been competing with the squirrels for peanuts should be pleased with the absence of competition.
The Perfect All-In-One Start to Backyard Bird Watching
I picked up this 94″ Bird Feeding Station Kit because I wanted to get into bird feeding without having to piece everything together and honestly, it ended up being one of the best backyard additions I’ve made.
Right out of the box, I loved that it’s a full kit. You’re not stuck buying extra hooks, trays, or feeders separately, it really is everything you need to start your journey into bird feeding and bird watching, or even just to expand what you already have without the hassle of tracking down extra parts. That alone made it feel worth it to me.
Setup was surprisingly straightforward. It’s a ground-mounted pole, and once it’s secured, it feels pretty sturdy overall. The height (around 94 inches) is great too and it gives a nice clear viewing area from the house and keeps things elevated enough to attract a variety of birds.
What I really enjoyed is how customizable it is. With multiple hooks, a mesh tray, and a water dish, you can switch things up depending on what birds you want to attract. I’ve already noticed more variety showing up, especially when I mix seeds or add suet.
And let’s talk about the squirrel baffle because if you’ve ever tried feeding birds, you know the struggle. It actually helps deter them from climbing up and stealing everything, acting as a barrier on the pole.
It’s not 100% foolproof (because squirrels are basically tiny masterminds), but it definitely cuts down on the chaos.
Likes:
– Truly a full starter kit, no need to buy extra feeders or accessories
– Great for beginners or adding to an existing setup
– Easy to assemble, no complicated tools needed
– Adjustable hooks and multiple feeding options (tray, basket, water dish)
– Tall height gives a great view of birds
– Squirrel baffle actually helps reduce seed theft
– Feels sturdy once installed properly
Dislikes:
x Needs to be installed firmly and if the ground is too soft, it can lean a bit
x Squirrels may still find a way (they always do eventually )
x Metal can weather over time if not maintained
x Takes a little trial and error to find the best placement in your yard
Overall, I genuinely love this setup. It’s one of those purchases that turns into a little daily joy so when you look outside suddenly you see there’s life, movement, and different birds showing up. Whether you’re just getting into bird watching or adding another station, this kit makes it super easy without needing to buy everything separately.

Opening Summary
This is a 94″ bird feeding station kit designed for backyard use, complete with a metal squirrel baffle, seed tray, and mesh basket. My first impression was that it’s exactly as advertised—no surprises out of the box, and everything matched the product listing. It felt straightforward and practical right away.
Real-World Experience:
I held off on installing it until the ground thawed enough here in northern Alberta, which is worth noting if you’re buying this during colder months. Once the ground was workable, setup was quick and uncomplicated. The pole sections fit together easily, and getting it anchored into the ground didn’t require much effort.
After installation, it stood stable and upright, even with feeders attached. The layout of hooks, tray, and basket gives some flexibility in how you want to set things up depending on the birds you’re trying to attract.
What I Liked:
* True to listing — What you see is what you get; no missing parts or misleading photos
* Easy assembly — Straightforward setup with no frustration
* Functional layout — Multiple feeding options (hooks, tray, basket) add variety
* Good height — The 94″ height gives it a nice presence in the yard and keeps things accessible for birds
What Could Be Better:
* Seasonal limitation for install — If the ground is frozen, you’ll have to wait (not a product flaw, but something to plan around)
* Ground anchoring depends on soil conditions — In softer or very loose soil, you may need to take extra care to ensure stability
* During windy days unit sways/moves a fair bit.
* Squirrel baffle effectiveness varies — Like most setups, persistent squirrels may still find a way depending on placement
Build Quality & Design:
The station is made from metal and feels reasonably sturdy for typical backyard use. It doesn’t feel flimsy, but it’s also not overly heavy-duty industrial grade. It does move back and forth quite a bit when windy, but hard to get away from that. The finish looks clean and should hold up well outdoors with normal use. The modular design makes it easy to adjust or reposition components as needed.
Who It’s For:
This is a good fit for anyone looking to set up a simple, all-in-one bird feeding station without overcomplicating things. Ideal for casual backyard bird watchers who want a clean, organized feeding area with a bit of flexibility.
Final Verdict:
A solid, no-nonsense bird feeding station that delivers exactly what it promises. Setup is easy, functionality is good, and it looks nice once installed. As long as you time your installation around ground conditions, it’s a reliable addition to a backyard setup. I’d recommend it for straightforward bird feeding without the need for a complicated system.
The squirrel baffle really helps keep unwanted visitors away. I love the seed tray and mesh basket—they attract a variety of birds and make feeding easy. It looks beautiful in my front yard and has quickly become a favorite spot for birds. Great quality and well worth the price!
Perfect height. Looks expensive. The suet holder chain came defected, but it hangs. It was easy to install, just grab a step stool. I’ve had chunky cute squirrels climb the pole and very hard winds and it still stands strong. I found the perfect place right in the middle of my small yard and added the barrel dome to the bottom (instructions aren’t in the box, but there’s an installation video if you scroll up some – easy to put together) because the squirrels were too greedy and scares the birds off, coming back in sets of 2-3 to attempt to infiltrate the feeder with no success!
Really Tall and easy Assemble
This is a great bird feeder. When it says it’s easy to assemble it means it. The instructions are simple to follow with clearly defined instructions. It’s squirrel resistant but we’ll see. It’s also very stable when hammered into the ground. One caution don’t twist the wing nuts to tight they will snap off.
