If you have a large family, you know the struggle of walking into a bathroom only to find a mountain of damp towels piled on the floor. This electric towel warmer has been a total game changer for my household. It seems that giving the kids a “toasty” incentive was exactly what they needed to start hanging things back up. The nine-bar layout is generous enough that it can handle several towels at once, which is a necessity when you have multiple people sharing a single space.
The build quality is excellent and feels like it belongs in a high-end spa. It is crafted from 304 stainless steel, which is vital for something that is constantly exposed to moisture. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t just warm the towels; it actually seems to help dehumidify the room, though I have no data to back this up, it is just a personal observation. This helps prevent that dreaded musty smell that often lingers in busy bathrooms. The bars are spaced perfectly, providing enough airflow so that even thick, plush towels dry quickly and evenly from top to bottom.
The smart control panel is the standout feature for me. It’s very easy to operate, even for the younger ones. Being able to set a specific temperature anywhere from 105 Fahrenheit up to 140 Fahrenheit means I can crank it up on chilly winter mornings or keep it on a lower setting just to assist with drying during the summer. The 24-hour timer is a lifesaver for energy efficiency; I can set it to run for a few hours after the morning rush and then forget about it, knowing it will shut itself off automatically.
The setup process was much more manageable than I anticipated. The instructions were very simple to follow; once I laid out all the parts and matched them to the diagrams in the manual, everything became clear and easy to understand. I really valued the flexibility of being able to choose between a plug-in or a hardwired setup. We went with the plug-in option for a quicker install, and the fact that it can be mounted to accommodate a left or right-side power source made it very adaptable to our specific wall layout. It’s a sturdy, reliable fixture that has brought a bit of luxury and a lot of order back to our home.
Not Just for Towels - Blankets and Throws Too
As the product description mentions, this warmer can be used for fabrics other than towels, and so we use it as a blanket/throw warmer in our family room – because we like being cozy and already have a heated towel warmer in each of our bathrooms. There is ample clearance between the warming bars and the wall for even thick/fluffy fur-like throws and blankets.
Assembly for a plug-in installation was super easy. You just need a Phillips head screwdriver and power driver that can take the diamond bit that it comes with if you want to use the drywall anchors. (otherwise you can just use the wood screws if you screw it into the studs). I’m marginally handy (i.e. I can use basic tools and am comfortable with a power drill/driver … but I don’t own other power tools like saws and such and wouldn’t know how to hardwire this) and I found it super easy to get this up and installed. The controls are built in and intuitive … you just press the icons to cycle through the temperature and timer. Overall, this is a sharp looking warmer and it works really well (like most warmers, you get the best uniform warming if you weave your towel/blanket through the bars). The packaging is good and the instructions are clear. The price is excellent and I don’t see any quality difference between this warmer and the more-expensive brand-name warmers we have in our bathrooms. I have no reservations in recommending this warmer. We are happy with it. So is our little dog, who loves to snuggle up with a warm blanket as much as we do.
Outstanding design and quality.
Exceptional quality, absolutely exceptional. I wanted a heated towel rack for the longest time, looked at many since I like to research the subject before any important purchase. Conveniently (or otherwise, depends on how you look at the subject) we are in the throes of guest bathroom remodel. So I thought this is the perfect chance to run a test on such a gadget. Now, this is an old house (XIX century built) and the bathrooms are far from spacious. So one of the main attractions of this rack was that it is quite compact and can fit a comparatively tight space.
Well, yes, it is indeed compact and so much more. I am totally blown away by the design, quality and many other features of this rack. It is solid, beautifully made and offers a wide range of settings. It can be simply plugged in but upon seeing this rack in person we decided to hard wire ours. Compact, unobtrusive and with comparatively low profile it will fit a multitude of spaces. And yes, officially it is a “towel rack” but a couple of bathrobes can be hung on its corners very easily – fantastic feature! I also found it very reassuring that the rack arrives extremely well packed with no fear of any damage whatsoever.
I asked our contractor to test the rack before we committed to hard-wire it (naturally, he forgot to take pictures). He was beyond impressed; so much so that he decided to recommend it to his other clients instead of the one they’ve already purchased.
I love everything abut this rack – the size, the shape, brushed finish (does not show dirt and will need minimal cleaning), the control panel flush with the surface, all features it offers…. I could go on and on. I’ve seen heated racks not nearly as good as this one offered for sale for two and a half or even three times more than this one. Exceptional buy. Thrilled with this order.
