Excellent replacement for Weber Genesis II SE-310 grill...
I have owned my Weber Genesis II SE-310 since 2018. This particular grill shiped with stainless steel tubular grates and stainless steel flavorizer bars as part of the Special Edition” or SE designation. Since day one, I have had a problem getting my steaks or chicken to char to my liking and was ready to buy a new grill until I stumbled on an article that recommended cast iron grates to enhance your grilling experience.
Enter this kit. At a fraction of the cost of a new grill, I am now able to get a fabulous char to my steaks, chicken and similar cuts of protein. I couldn’t be more happy!
On a side not, cast iron grates do require that they be “seasoned” just as you’d do with a cast iron skillet. I won’t go into the details of how to perform that task in this review other than to steer you to a Google search on how to season cast iron grill grates. Also, cast iron will rust and do require more maintenance than stainless steel or enamel coated grates so be aware of that – in my opinion, the extra effort is well worth it in the finished product you will achieve when grilling.
For the price, this product gets my seal of approval and a 5-star rating.
Heavy Duty Cast Iron Grates That Hold Up Over Open Flame
This set includes two cast-iron grates that are solid and substantial right out of the box. The weight alone tells you they are built to handle high heat.
Although these are intended for grill use, I purchased them to use over my homemade fire pit. The size works perfectly for my setup, and the two-pack allows for flexible placement depending on how much cooking space I need.
After a couple of uses over direct flame, they have held up very well. There has been no cracking or warping, and they retain heat exactly as cast iron should. Once heated, they provide a consistent cooking surface.
If you are looking for durable cast-iron grates that can withstand open-fire cooking, these have performed reliably for me so far.
Perfect replacement after extended use and well packaged
Perfect fit! I have utilized my Weber grill at least 4 times a week for some time now. After looking at a new one I found i could just replace the main items I had some issues with and extend the life of my grill.
This was a great value and money saver. Easy swap of the old for the new. The packaging was amazing and ensured zero issues while shipping.
I replaced all items with 15 minutes and immediately went to seasoning the grates to prepare for first use. Steaks and burgers were the first items using the new pieces and came out great!

Nice heavy duty cast iron grates with stainless steel flavorizer bars. Fits very well. Sturdy enough to hold a very heavy pot if so desired or needed. Helps your grill work like it did when it was new. Air flow is much better. Very happy with this set. Very functional. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.
