Pros:
– The components in this are very sturdy, the stainless is heavy thick and there were no issues out of the package.
– Instructions are clear and simple to understand, doesn’t take long to put together.
– The design is simple and effective, the spikes are large enough to keep the whole thing place and I didn’t experience any wobbling when pulling the house from the reel. The whole winding mechanism works great and didn’t have any issues when winding up the hose.

Overall:
This is a terrific home accessory if you have a lot of hose and don’t want to pack it all around the yard. You just need a good spot to mount it and it should do the job well. This is a great item for the price and I would recommend it.
When I unpacked the parts, I thought it would take a good while to assemble, but it only took about 30 minutes. I wasn’t sure the two halves of the hose holding cylinder would stay together, but they did once all the screws were in. The screws appear to be of good quality and threaded easily. Once the spikes were pressed into the ground, the unit feels secure. I guess if you have sandy soil, you may need additional support, but in our mostly clay soil, nothing additional is needed. The wheel/shaft assembly spins easily and there are no leaks. The metal is not very heavy gauge, but it is heavy enough to be functional. I will keep this item indoors until the spring, put it indoors every winter, and hopefully will get several years use from it.
Easy to put together and use
This is another great garden hose reel to use in your garden or yard. It’s very easy to put together. I have had two other similar ones and have not had any issues. Maybe it depends on how much hose you are putting on or the size of the hose, but I haven’t had any issues with it staying in place in my yard. As long as you can get all 4 prongs pushed down into the dirt, it should stay put. I like having hoses on a stand instead of the low to the ground styles that require bending over. My back does not care for that especially when I’ve already spent a lot of time hunched over in the garden. Being higher makes it very easy to roll the hose so functionality is spot on. It should be durable enough to last for a long time. I will know more next summer when I put it to heavy duty use.
The 4-spike garden hose reel seems to be of good quality, it looks well made, it’s heavy-duty and durable. The hose reel is easy to assemble and use.
The problem with the hose reel lies with its and I like its bottom stakes. They do not go into the ground far enough to support the hose reel properly. The bottom stakes should be at least 12-inches to 16-inches to properly support the hose reel in all weather.
If the 4-spike garden hose reel had the proper length bottom stakes, it would have good enough functionality and excellent value for money. With the short bottom stakes, I would only recommend it with the suggestion that they also need to purchase ” x 16″ rebar to zip tie or wire to the bottom stakes for further support.
