- 1. 【Precautions for backplane power supply interface】 It has 4 power supply interfaces (PATA*2 + SATA*2). For ordinary home-level mechanical hard drives (SATA/SAS), the startup current is around 1A to 2.5A, so connecting 3 power supplies is sufficient. Enterprise-level hard drives, due to their higher startup current, are recommended to have all 4 power interfaces connected. (Please refer to the parameter specifications of each brand for the actual power of the power supply and hard drive; insufficient current may cause the hard drive to fail to start.)

Missing accessories
Had to wait 2 weeks to get it from purchase date. Most likely needed to ship from China. The case looks nice but there is a bit of a warp on the right side metal frame and a dent with paint scratch on the fan cover so knocking a star off. Otherwise it’s a nice case and what I expected.
Great Compact NAS Case for mATX Full Sized PSU builds
Really easy to assemble and put together. There’s a lot of space to route the cables. It comes with fans for the bottom half of the case for good airflow for the hard drives. It’s compact, and looks absolutely amazing on my desk, and uses great metal panels and frames. The hard drive slots come out easily and align perfectly. It’s definitely great for it’s price.
I love the way how this case looks and the amount of drives this thing can take. The included fans is nice but they are a tiny bit noticeable on noise depending on what setting you have it on, if connected to the fan speed switch on the case. I’ll probably switch those out for something quieter. As for having options for installing a power supply/SFX, its still limiting on where you can put them due to how your setup is and how long the cables are on the power supply. If you plan on using a regular sized power supply you’ll only have one spot to put it and it also covers a good chunk of the motherboard so you’ll have to get a low profile cooler or water cool if it fits. So please do your research and look at how you would set it up BEFORE you think about buying this case.
Moved from the N4 because I wanted a full height GPU.
I think this is the sweet spot between the N4 and N5. Finally having drive brackets is nice, the rubber strap on the N4 (and other models) was just awkward.
The only thing I wish it had was more fan mounting options in the bottom bay. At most, you can have 2 exhaust fans in the lower bay, depending on the PSU size and placement. Meanwhile, there are front, side and rear mounting positions for the upper bay. I’d really like to have intake fans blowing air across the drives in the bottom.
Hopefully someone makes a 3d printable mod to add front intake fans like with the N4.
Regardless, this is a solid case, highly recommend it.
Best NAS Case Currently Available
Wow! This case is amazing. It’s HIGHLY configurable, the SATA/SAS backplane delivers, the build quality feels amazing, and it is drastically better looking than my old Silverstone CS351. I think the two things that could improvement:
The drive mounts are perfectly usable but I wish they were tool less.
Internally there is no additional drive mounting. In order to make full use of the front 9 bay drives, I ended up purchasing a 120 MM fan to SSD mount, so that I could mount my OS drives internal to the case.
Aside from that, this case is basically perfect. It was easy to build in, the layout is great, air flow is awesome, and you can fit a large cooler or if you’re brave water cooling for your NAS.
