Excellent game stick for the value!
I would love to give this game stick a full five stars but it is lacking a bit.
Pros:
– Easy to setup and easy to use.
– Excellent collection of nostalgic, retro games!
– Well organized and easy to use interface with screenshots (missing for some games) and game names.
– Controllers seem to respond and function well!
– 2.4 GHz controllers allow for considerable distance from the game stick.
– Connects nicely to the back of a TV using the HDMI port and the TV’s USB port for power.
– No need to connect to Internet for updates etc… although, I wonder if this would have been more beneficial if updates would address some of the performance concerns.
– I have yet to find games that crash or don’t work.
Cons:
– Suffers from performance and stuttering on certain games, particularly the sound (Double Dragon, Dragon Spirit, The Simpsons from what I have seen so far).
– Has an annoyingly loud menu interface when navigating the menu. A loud “boop, boop…” that I can’t find a way to disable. I usually mute the TV when I am navigating menus and then unmute when I select a game.

I bought this as a gift for my husband who’s a huge retro gaming fan, and he absolutely loves it! It’s the perfect gift for anyone who grew up with classic games. Mario, woohoo!
Setup is so easy even non-gamers can figure it out, and the massive game library has something for everyone. The wireless controllers are comfortable, the game selection is unbeatable, and the 4K output looks great on any TV. He’s spent hours reliving his childhood, and we even play together on game nights. The packaging is nice too, making it a great ready-to-gift option. 10/10 would absolutely buy again for friends and family!
