Rolling shelves
These rolling shelves were quite useful when cleaning out the pantry. I was able to roll it over to the pantry door to put all the things on the shelves, then rolled it out of the way while I wiped down the inside of the pantry. The shelves held up well to the weight of many cans and jars of condiments, other things. It also rolled fairly easily with all the weight on it, you just have to constantly guide it because it will roll willy-nilly if you are pushing instead of pulling. Now that I’m done with that project, I plan on using the shelves in the garage.
Putting the shelves together was simple. I did have a slight issue with the connector pieces not snapping together at the top like they did at the bottom, but I just held them in place while placing the upper shelf. Once the shelf was wedged on, everything was stable and secure.
Get More Shelf Control
I picked up this heavy-duty shelving unit to add extra storage in my office, and it has turned out to be a practical and surprisingly versatile solution.
Setup was incredibly easy. The no-tool assembly is not an exaggeration. I had it fully put together in minutes without frustration or confusing instructions. The pieces click together securely, and despite how quick the build is, the finished unit feels very sturdy and well-balanced.
One of the standout features is the adjustable shelving. Being able to customize the height between shelves made it easy to accommodate everything from storage bins to taller items without wasting vertical space. It’s a flexible design that can adapt if your storage needs change over time.
The unit is lightweight enough to move when needed, yet once in place, it feels solid and stable. The shelves have a high weight capacity, which gives peace of mind when storing heavier items like office equipment, paper reams, or bulk supplies. It doesn’t wobble or feel flimsy under load.
Although marketed for pantry or kitchen use, it works just as well in an office, bathroom, or closet. In my workspace, it instantly reduced clutter and created a more organized, functional setup.
Overall, this is a well-designed, durable shelving unit that combines quick assembly, strength, and flexibility. Price seems fair for the quality. It’s a great choice if you need reliable storage without the hassle of complicated setup.
Very pleased with this shelf
Size purchased approximately: 36″w x 18″L by 20″h.
I purchased this for extra storage in a utility area and it is perfect. The materials that were sent to me included everything that I needed. They also included a little tiny wrench which I hadn’t seen before in other products of this nature. And they sent an extra set of the little black plastic pieces that hold up the shelf.
If you’ve never put together one of these before it is pretty simple. The directions that were sent are not step by step, but I’ve put together this type of shelf before, so I had no issues.
If you are like me and would like the little lip around the shelf to point upwards because you have a cat that likes to push things off the edge of the shelf, that won’t work with this shelf. There is a slight flair to the opening attached to the shelf and it needs to point with the larger side down, which means the ledge is going to point down. That appears to be very standard for this type of shelf.
The shelf is very sturdy. I’m not sure what the expected load capacity is but I can say that I had occasion to have to step on it and, though this is obviously not the intended use, it held up to my weight very well.
The top of each leg has a cap already inserted which looks nice.
It does come with wheels which roll very smoothly. They have a little locking mechanism on two of the wheels. Honestly, I only noticed a slight resistance when locked. To me, that is not an important feature and doesn’t affect my use of the product, so I have not deducted any stars.
Just a tip, when you are putting the wheels onto the legs, the easiest way to do it is to insert the screw into the leg, hold the nut in place with your fingers, and turn the leg counterclockwise. Then when the nut gets too close to the leg to hold, use the wrench to hold the nut in place while you finish turning the leg. If you try to use the wrench to turn the nut while holding the leg in place, the wrench is just going to slip right off.
Overall, I am very happy with this shelving unit.
Versatile and solid shelving system
The Brutis Steel Shelve is an attractive and versatile shelf system that is easy to assemble and can be used to store items in any number of locations. I used it in a laundry area on top of a cabinet that had been used previously to hold a jumble of miscellaneous items. It was difficult to know what was stored there. I took a photo of what the area looked like “Before” the shelf was in place. and one to show what it looked like after I put the shelf in the area and placed items there, “After – with Shelf.”
I did not invert the shelf; the bottom shelf is at the bottom of the legs, as could be determined from the fact that the black plastic tips are at the underside of the shelf. The openings at the corners of the shelves, which slide over the legs, are slightly larger on the bottom than they are on the top. The black plastic clips that come with the unit must be installed with the correct orientation (etched onto the pieces) and they will lock the shelves in place. To be sure that the shelves are solidly held in place, the documentation says that the shelves should be pushed down. When this is done, only a small part of the black plastic clip shows at the underside of the shelf, as shown in the “After” picture. I used a rubber mallet to make sure the shelves were solidly placed and would not come loose.
Chose this specifically for the dimensions. Using this for an under desk computer stand, and for that purpose, it has worked very well. It allows me to roll it out from under the desk for easy access. The wire shelf allows for plenty of airflow, and is also great for wire management.
It’s held up great so far, holding things stable even with only a single shelf, and blends in well with other wire shelves I have.
Works well
We set this up by the front door as a catch-all for shoes or other items we don’t need to bring inside. It’s actually been more useful than I expected so has been getting a lot of use. We had a long power outage so this was a great spot to set up a camp stove for cooking out of the rain. It was sturdy and reliable for that and has been a great outdoor shelf that doesn’t collect much dirt or need much maintenence. I’m happy with it after a month of use
It works for our needs
Our 1 car garage is used as a flex room where we craft and build our fego kits. This 2-tier shelf is going to be great for helping us keep our area clean and organized.
This shelf is an adequate size at 18″ x 36″ x 20″ and is made of all metal except the wheels which are plastic. The metal is of medium thickness and is rigid with no noticeable weak spots. It looks like it is powder coated black and I see no major flaws or drips in the paint either.
Assembly was a breeze and very straight forward. Everything connected as it should and I find that it’s moderately sturdy. I wouldn’t put anything very heavy on it, but it should hold our arts and crafts with no issue. The shelves being adjustable is a nice addition to making this unit more versatile.
The casters slid in with ease and have no issues with rolling. I appreciate that two of the castors come with wheel locks so that the shelf remains stationary.
Overall, I’m pleased to finally have a place to store our containers and extras when not in use. At 47.99 I find this a bit on the high end price wise based on comparisons to other shelves of similar size and build.
Good compact shelving uni
This is a good shelving unit. I’m using this in my laundry room to store paper goods and detergent. It’s a compact shelving unit, but it fits the space well and does a nice job keeping things organized.
Assembly is straightforward and doesn’t require any tools (other than what is needed to cut open the packaging and snip a few zip ties), though there aren’t traditional instructions included—just a parts list and diagram, plus a link to a YouTube video. If you’re mechanically inclined, that’s enough. The only hiccup I ran into was with the shelf support clips. They don’t snap together the way the diagram or video suggests. That said, once the shelf is set in place, the weight of the shelf compresses the clips and locks everything in, which is actually the same design used on heavier-duty shelving units. As long as you align the clips properly with the grooves in the legs, it holds firm.
In use, it feels like a solid middle-ground shelving unit. It’s not heavy-duty, but it’s more than just light storage. The shelves are adjustable during assembly, and the unit includes leveling feet, which is a nice touch. It’s also lightweight enough to move easily when empty.
Overall, this feels like a good value for what it is. If you need a compact shelving unit for a closet, laundry room, or similar space, it does the job well. I wouldn’t use it for heavy-duty storage, but for typical household use, it’s a practical and easy solution.
UPDATE/EDIT: I also tried the rolling version of this unit with casters (see last photo). The build quality is very similar, but the use case is a bit different. The rolling version sits lower (top shelf is about 19 inches high), which makes it less practical as a working surface but fine for lower storage. The casters add convenience, though they’re lightweight plastic and better suited for smoother surfaces than rough garage floors. If you don’t need it to move, the standard version is the better choice for general use, while the rolling version works well for lighter-duty, “mobile” storage.
