I’m assuming that this is stovetop only, and not meant for the oven. It’s the perfect size, lightweight and non stick. Instead of putting it away in the cupboard, I leave it on top of the stove–because it’s so good looking.
I bought the CAROTE 5QT Ceramic Stock Pot with Lid and Ladle because I wanted a nonstick pot that was easy to clean and looked nice enough to leave on the stovetop. After using it several times, I’m really happy with it. The ceramic nonstick coating works great; food doesn’t stick, and cleanup is incredibly easy. It heats evenly, so I haven’t had any issues with hot spots or food burning. The 5-quart size is perfect for soups, chili, pasta, and family-sized meals. Keep in mind that the ceramic coating requires a little extra care to keep it looking new, so I avoid using metal utensils.
This is a wonderful size pot if you are looking for a smaller pot for stews, soups, chili, etc.. I made chili in it. It cooks wonderfully and cleaning is a breeze. The pot is not heavy, very pretty and so easy to lift and store away. It even came with a really nice free silicone ladle. Its non stick so only use wood or silicone in the pot. I highly recommend!
I love love love Carote.. but they have really outdone themselves with this pot. It is SO EASY TO CLEAN. I didn’t clean this pot immediately either.. I let the food sit til the next morning.. still crazy easy to clean. I couldn’t be happier! The pot, lid, and spoon are such good quality.
A Good Purchase
I purchased this stock pot to replace another brand I’d had for years. I’m very pleased with its weight, sturdiness and non stick cooking surface. The top has a snug fit with a small steam hole. The ladle that’s included is also of excellent quality, although the bowl of the ladle is smaller than normal. I love this set.
