I cannot express how impressed and happy I am with this magical mystical device. I don’t know how it does what it does, but it does it and it doesn’t really great. It’s so fun to watch that I sometimes find myself opening cans that I don’t even need to use. I recommend when you have guests over, if you need a great conversation starter start opening cans in front of them with this device and before you know it, everybody’s going to be wanting to take a turn on it. I am thinking of some kind of drinking game to put with this device because it is so much fun to use and to watch in action. If you’re fed up with the original models that other manufacturers have made that look like oversized cockroaches, thenfail and never work properly and break within a few months then, Get this one! You will love it and be impressed with it as much as I have been.And the best part is, it leaves no sharp edges! The sharp edges are curled under inside the can ridge. How ingenious is that design. The designer needs to be awarded a Nobel peace prize.

This product is a rechargeable electric can opener with digital display, charging cord without charging block, and instruction pamphlet. Using the included charging cord in my own power block, I charged this product without incident. There is a blue digital display on the product showing percentage charge.
It is worth mentioning this product does not have a charging block included. You will have to find your own charging block in order to use this product. I have a dim view of manufacturers who do not include the necessary accessories for a product to function out of the box. However, as long as the dollar store sells charging blocks for $1.25, I will not reduce my rating for this deficiency.
Once charged, I tested the product while making crockpot chili. My recipe calls for four cans to be opened so this was a good test. To open a can, the product is placed crosswise on the top of the can with the upper lip of the product hanging over the edge of the can. The button on the product is depressed for three seconds to start the process. The product then rotates around the top of the can while cutting the upper lip of the can. This is different than most can openers, and produces a lid that is not sharp and is not a cutting hazard. However, with the upper lip of the can cut off, the can is now a cutting hazard and care should be used to avoid the upper edge of the open can. See attached video of product opening a can.
The product has a 45 second cycle to open most size cans. It only took about 10 seconds to open the can of tomato sauce for my chili and I then pressed the button a second time to turn off the product. A magnet on the underside of the product lifts steel lids off of the can.
When I was a kid, we had an electric can opener in our kitchen. It was so big it had to go on the counter and the cord plugged into the wall. It made quite a racket when opening a can, and you had to hold the can at the bottom to keep it from falling from the opener gear. This product is a nicer solution because instead of cluttering up the countertop, it fits in a drawer. Aside from charging occasionally, there is also no cord that needs to be plugged in when using it. I feel both of these are significant pluses that make this product superior to lesser openers.
In summary, this product worked well and was easy to use to open steel cans. It is compact and stores in a drawer and a cord is not necessary to use it, only to charge it. Although a charging block is not included, I am still glad I ordered this product and look forward to using it for many years.
This can opener is a marvel! With just one touch, it opens any can and leaves smooth edges, so there’s no risk of cutting yourself. It’s rechargeable, and the LED is super useful for seeing what you’re doing. Perfect for my house, as it’s hands-free and very easy to use. A must-buy for everyone in the kitchen!
I turned it on as soon as I opened the box and there was a lot of juice left in the battery – so I laid it on top of a can of tomato sauce, turned it on, and off it went! Didn’t read any directions, so my immediate thoughts were the 45 second timer is quite long for averaged sized cans, it doesn’t stop cutting or turning when it’s fully opened, I fumbled with the button with trying to stop it, and there’s a slight wire protrusion at the top of hte can when I removed the lid. HOWEVER, all of this was done without even referencing the instructions – so if I was able to successfully operate and open a can, it proves it is very easy to use. I learned about the right position and the quick stop function so my next can I opened was completely flawless. Check out the clip included, ignore the background noise, but just know I literally went from out of the box to the can – great opener!
