Exactly as pictured. Comes compressed as most foam products. Shipment was 2 days late though. But it fluffs out almost to full size within 15 minutes. The only reason I docked it a star though is because the fumes. My eyes burn so bad and the smell is not great. You can’t smell it unless close to it but it’s a pillow. It is supposed to be close to your face. Pretty sure given some time and fabric freshener that issue can be resolved. But I had to move them well away from me for the time being and I think the fumes filled up my room so I can’t get my eyes to stop burning. So warning, open in well ventilated area. But I have had a pillow like these for years and it’s one of my 2 favorite pillows. I have been trying to find more comfortable pillows that were on the cheaper side because I paid $80 for it at the time. I was happy but still a steep price for a pillow. These are just like it except for the initial fumes and smell that should be temporary. Bamboo foam pillows are awesome. Keep cool, don’t go flat, and super comfortable. What I can tell so far these should hold up just as well as my other one and feel cool and very comfortable just as advertised
Not Perfect, But...Perfect for ME!
Love these pillows! Yes, there was a smell due to the filler, so I put them in my greenhouse during the day at high temps to let the smell out! In two days, no odor at all, I also let a little of the media out to adjust my comfort level!
What a great pillow. I’ve literally spent HUNDREDS on pillows and I can honestly say this is a great buy for the price. Perfect firmness and it really does keep you cool.
Great pillow, super supportive. There is a horrible chemical smell as is normal with vacuum sealed memory foam when you first open it – just run it in the dryer, no heat cycle, for 30 minutes and problem solved.
These pillows are incredible! I am so freaking picky about my bedding especially my pillows! The 2 green front pillows in my picture are the bamboo memory foam. My favorite thing about these pillows is having the ability to customize them to your liking. They come with a resealable bag & instructions on how to remove the stuffing. Honestly you could make 2 pillows 4 with the amount of extra stuffing they come with
“maybe the other reviewers are crazy people” thats what I told myself about the comments on the smell of these pillows, because surely they couldn’t stink horribly if there are so many good reviews? Boy howdy was I incorrect. these pillows have an odor, I would describe the aroma as if you mixed sesame oil with polyurethane sealant. It is quite literally difficult to bear. I couldnt imagine that anyone would sleep with their face on these pillows if they had this scent on them. other than that they seem quality and comparable to my other bamboo pillows. I’m currently washing them for a 50 minute hot cycle in my washing machine with vinegar then Im going to try a shorter cycle with detergent. after that, if needed, i will try a borax soak. I will definitely update my review if the smell is not removed then. seems comfortable and full though.
Edit: its been 2 weeks of sitting and another wash, still a strong smell but not as bad. Going to try the borax method next.
