Unremarkable quality - premium $
I opted for this as a complementary element to my kitchen area, with the added desire for a versatile piece that could also potentially work in my bathroom, if needed. Having noted the price point, I was highly curious to understand what justified its cost & frankly, I’m left feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

While the material undeniably feels premium & the rug possesses a tangible sense of high quality in the hand, the construction itself does not feel exceptional or superior to more reasonably priced alternatives I’ve seen at large retailers. I suspect the pricing may be tied to a brand name perhaps I am simply unfamiliar with?

In terms of performance, the rug is not specially treated for stain resistance or equipped with any particularly unique features to my knowledge. It is very absorbent, yes. The size of the rug was not as grandiose as I had anticipated I suppose, but it’s definitely substantial. Disappointingly, it caught a noticeable snag within just a few weeks of receiving it. While rugs are inherently placed in high-traffic areas, this premature wear was certainly a letdown & may speak to its durability. I was able to trim & hide the snag, but now I’m worried about more unraveling.

My most personal concern, though certainly subjective, is the pattern’s surprising lack of blend with any existing dcor in my home. It is awfully strange; the checkered aesthetic simply doesn’t seem to integrate seamlessly into any of the rooms I’ve tested it in. I am overall pleased with the rug, but time will tell if I can get accustomed to the pattern & if the early snagging is a sign of things to come. I recommend tempering expectations given the cost.

Very nice and soft, not sure if worth premium price
I just upgraded my bathmat from some old gold shag bath rug I bought at Bed Bath and Beyond years ago for $25 to this luxe cotton House of Noa bathmat. It’s definitely a step up, and looks much nicer than my old one. The feel is softer (at least when just washed and fluffy), and it seems more absorbent as well. I like the nonstick grip weave on the bottom side, plus the fact it’s machine washable. It also includes a pocket for a memory foam insert that I didn’t buy. That sounds like a cool and luxurious feature, but the idea of memory foam soaking up my foot water and then sitting there day after day is frightening. Now, this bathmat is expensive! I’m not sure that this $99 rug is 4 times as amazing as my $25 previous one. But I do think that the all cotton fabric makes for a more luxurious feel on the soles of my feet when I step out of the shower, and it absorbs noticeably more water, so it’s great from a functionality standpoint, but the price is still pretty steep for something that has a relatively basic visual design. I’d say, it’s not the most unique or best value bathmat out there, but, if you have the money to splurge, and you like the pattern you see here, you can do it and not regret it.

Thick, Cozy Rug With a Much Softer Stripe in Perso
This rug looks beautiful in person, and the gray stripe is a lot more subtle than it appears in the photos—it blends nicely with the tan and white for a soft, neutral look. The rug itself is very thick and plush, so it already has plenty of cushioning on its own. The optional pad you can buy to go with it feels like overkill because the rug doesn’t really need any extra thickness. Even without it, it’s soft, comfortable, and adds a warm feel to the room. The quality is great, and it looks even nicer once it’s fully laid out. If you want a cozy, neutral rug with a gentle striped pattern, this one is an excellent choice.
