This is by far the best robot vacuum I’ve ever used, and I 100% recommend it. From the first use, it impressed me by scanning and mapping the entire layout of my home, including every corner of each room. Once the map is built through the app, you can easily customize cleaning zones or let it automatically clean everything.
What truly amazed me is how well it picks up dust, dirt, and especially hair from the floor — every corner is left spotless. Using it with the app makes everything super convenient, and it’s like having a personal cleaning assistant. After cleaning, it automatically returns to its charging dock without any help. It’s smart, efficient, and has truly freed up my time from doing housework.
If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that delivers both performance and convenience, this one is a game changer.
This is my first robot vac to have the mapping feature and I can’t understand how I never had this before. The accuracy of the mapping is spot on. I love that you can choose certain zones to clean as opposed to it always cleaning the entire area. I haven’t used the mopping feature yet, unfortunately. The debris bin is not as large as I would like, so if you have pets, you may need to stop and empty here and there if you have a large house. Or clean by zones and empty after each zone. It does a great job picking up everything. Super impressed. It isn’t too loud, but you know when it’s in use. The app is super easy to use and it connected without any problems. I’m not disappointed!

I freakin’ love this thing. It’s a huge time saver for me. Yes, it’s not “self emptying” but I don’t see how any machine could empty and clean itself up as well as should be done. I shed worse than a Golden Retriever, there is no way any robotic vacuum could disentangle by itself all the hair this thing picks up.
As for the app — yeah not the greatest but once set up you don’t have to deal with it really. I have 2 maps saved… one includes everything, one excludes an area or two that doesn’t need cleaning every time. It’s easy to switch between the two. We use this a couple of times/week at least, and it’s amazing (and gross!) how much dirt and hair it picks up – and our house is pretty darn clean, or – so we thought! Purchase extra disposable filters — it was hard for me to find the right size. The ones that fit are ASIN B0F1N5RQ1Z

PROS
1) It doesn’t bang up and scar baseboards and chair/table legs like our old Roomba did.
2) Price point – yes you have to manually clean out the roller and dust bin after use. At the time of my purchase, it also cost half of what the self emptying models do.
3) The vacuum function is good for a robotic vacuum. Good for daily touch up. Our dark floors show every speck of dust, every stray hair, and I shed like a Golden Retriever. This is not a replacement for a deep clean, or getting spiders in the corner, but it’s not meant to be. And it’s much more thorough that I am doing touch up with a little cordless vac.
4) Set up was fairly straightfoward although the manual isn’t great. They state up front about needing 2.4 GHz wifi and I almost returned it based on that — it wasn’t until much deeper in the manual they mentioned that’s only for set up. It will run on a 5 ghz network after set up.
CONS
1) The app is kind of crappy but most of them are. Hard to fine tune no-mop zones, virtual walls, etc. If one could expand the image more it would be helpful.
2) The mop function is a joke. It drags around a damp cloth and is streaky. It’s terrible as a mop.
3) No self-emptying or bag as found in more expensive models.
4) The trade-off to not having a vac that bangs up your baseboards is that it doesn’t clean right up to the baseboard. Close, but not quite.
5) The “no mop” and “no go” map adjustments work only as a box shape, and are hard to adjust to the right size on such a teeny map.
4) Speaking of restricted zones (no mop or no go): you can’t have one within a very wide berth of the charging station! So if you have an area rug in your mudroom or a runner in your hallway, and the charging station is anywhere near it (even on the other side of a wall!) — forget it. Plan to roll up those rugs or figure out another place for the charging station. Can’t put a no-mop zone there!
4) It sometimes gets stuck on simple things (a curled up corner of an area rug; a corner of a room that flummoxes it) and if you pause cleaning to pick it up and move it from where it’s stuck, then restart — it’s lost the map of where it’s been and seeks to start all over.
HOWEVER: Most of the high end, name brand robotic vacs have a lot more negative reviews, and can cost much, much more. For 150 bucks this one is fine for our needs. For a thorough vacuum and mopping, I don’t think robotic vacs are there yet. You’re likely going to have to do it yourself. But we use this several times/week and it’s greatly reduced the time I spend on touchups with a cordless vac.
I’ve had this vacuum robot for about 3 months now and here’s how I feel about it:
Pros:
1. Price cannot be beat. If you buy a Roomba, it’s going to cost you hundreds of dollars for a product that isn’t going to be that much better than this one.
2. This is really quiet. I live in an apartment and this is so quiet that I can run it before going to work in the morning without disturbing anyone else in the building. I can be in an adjourning room and not hear the vacuum.
3. This has no troubles getting over things. There’s a fairly thick wooden transition strip between my dining room/kitchen and this vacuum has no problems climbing over it.
4. I’ve never once had this vacuum call me for help, get stuck on something or think she’s on a cliff.
5. Also gets between tight spaces and under my furniture without issue.
Cons:
1. It’s not perfect. Once in a blue moon, she gets confused and will vacuum the same corner 5 times and ignore other areas. (But most of the time she’s good and does everything).
2. This also isn’t a full replacement for cleaning your floors, it’s a maintenance cleaner. It’s great for dust, dirt and pet hair but maybe not for picking up cereal. (Although I haven’t tried to have it pick up heavier items yet, I’m afraid that will break her.)
3. My apartment is all hardwood floors and she does great on the hardwood but when she goes over a rug, it definitely sounds like a struggle. I tend to pick up the area rug in my living room and put it up on my couch until she’s done cleaning.
Other:
1. I don’t really use the app, so can’t speak to that part. I just click the bottom on the vacuum for ‘standard sweeping’.
2. I also haven’t used the mopping function yet. I prefer to mop the floors myself.
3. My apartment is roughly 500-600Sq ft and it takes about 30 minutes to make it’s rounds. Not sure how long a full charge is supposed to last but it’s more than enough to sweep my place.
So far so good, I will update if she eventually gives out.
Before this, I had the original Mint Automatic Robotic Hardwood Floor Cleaner. It was fine for its time, but it could only sweep and mop in a very basic way, with no mapping or smart features. When it finally broke, I decided to buy a new one.
This new robot feels like a completely different world—much stronger suction, a real mop that leaves my floors looking fresh, and smart navigation that actually covers the whole room instead of bumping around randomly. Like other users mentioned, it was SUPER easy to set up, and now I just let it run while I do other things. Coming back to clean floors without lifting a finger feels amazing.
It vacuums my hardwood floor well and mops my kitchen and living room floors so much better than I expected. It’s not too loud, the battery lasts a long time, and it always finds its way back to the charger without getting lost. Honestly, it just makes life easier. If you’re on the fence, go for it—you’ll be glad you did!
If there’s anything to improve, I’d suggest making the robot’s voice announcements clearer—I still can’t quite tell if it says ‘start cleaning’ or ‘start thinking’ when it begins. 🙂
I absolutely love my Tikom! It works so incredibly well and has made keeping my floors clean so much easier. The mapping feature is honestly my favorite part — it’s so smart and efficient, and I love being able to see exactly where it’s cleaned. It navigates the space really well and doesn’t miss spots.
It does an amazing job on carpets, picking up dirt and debris thoroughly, and the mopping function works just as well. My floors look and feel so clean after each run. Overall, I’m beyond happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable robot vacuum and mop!
The Tikom Robot Vacuum blows my old Shark ion away. It cleans better and the lidar is amazing. The app is great too. It has many more features and settings than the Shark app. You can make multiple maps and edit them so you can use one vacuum on different floors with ease. You can do a full clean, room clean, custom area or a spot clean. You can also set multiple automatic cleaning schedules. The mop feature is nice for touch ups in between regular mopping. The dust bin only needs to be emptied every few days and it’s easy to do so I’m glad I didn’t waste money on the self emptying base. I am extremely satisfied with this vacuum.
I don’t do reviews often, but this little robot is AMAZING! It does an excellent job of cleaning. The vacuum is extremely powerful and picks up even the smallest particles of dirt. The mop is definitely for maintenance cleans, but it makes my deep clean a lot easier.
The app is easy to follow, and the setup was really straightforward. The best part about the app is that you can either select the room you want to clean or use the app’s remote control to guide the robot.

A little less than a year later, vacuum is still amazing. Sadly the mop function has stopped working.
