Good for my space
This works really well for my tiny apartment. I don’t have a stove so it is nice to have a good cook top to cook my meals. This is small enough that you could easily take it around with you to different places and is versatile. Although, it is a bit small for everyday cooking and you likely couldn’t use a big pot or pan on it.
Basic with issues
This compact hot plate boils a quart of water in under five minutes, making it great for small spaces like shared apartments or jobsites without kitchens. It’s not true induction—using coil heating instead—so the surface stays hot after you remove the pot, and the internal fan can be quite noisy. It’s adjustable by wattage rather than temperature, which takes some getting used to. While not ideal as a permanent stove replacement, it’s an affordable, handy option for occasional cooking, crafting, or experiments, especially if space is tight or portability is key.
I recently picked up this mini induction cooktop, and it’s a huge step up from the old hot plate I used back in my dorm days. The design is sleek and compact, so it doesn’t take up much space in storage or on the counter, which is perfect for small kitchens or apartments.
