This has two coils, a smaller one that covers 100 to 600 watts and a larger outer coil that comes on to assist from 800 to 1800 watts. In effect, it is like either the small or the large coil on a standard electric range. The coils reach their temperatures faster than a standard range. When it is first turned on you have to press the function button to choose power or temperature. It starts at 1800 watts or at 518 F and you adjust downwards from there. The adjustment is quick, no burden at all. The controls respond reliably. No capacitative shyness here. You can lift the pan while cooking which is a relief from induction’s clingy personality. I was attracted by this units flat glass top but found it does have a small seam around the burner and the control panel. I haven’t had a real mess yet so I don’t know how hard that seam will be to clean but I have cleaned grease splatter and that was easy. I’ve been using the power settings and I’ve found the 200 watts divisions work well for me. It’s easier to control than my Jenn-Air range. I have more of a sense that things are changing and by how much with this cooktop than when I twist the dials on the Jenn-Air. I haven’t used the temperature settings not seeing much use for them but I guess they’d work for deep frying. Maybe I could gain pantry space by getting rid of a deep fryer and use this for the rare times I do deep frying.
My induction cooktop was failing (it was sparking when plugged in and it’s lowest setting was boiling water instead of keeping warm). I was shopping for another induction cooktop but they all had compromises. I wanted one with inverter technology but they are too expensive in this country, around $900.00 to $1,500.00. I have an electric kettle so I have induction’s one big trick covered, I can boil water quickly. The kettle is a little slower than induction at boiling but I won’t be using the cooktop to boil water for my drinks, regardless. If modern electric stoves are this good I may reconsider my plan to get an induction stove in a year or so.
I have a feeling that the burner was used because I was unable to use the child lock. And they’re a little bit of marks on it.
It seems like a nice grill and also I only use it about three times in it received scratches and you can’t clean it off it’s there for life.

This was a game changer for me. Whenever I have guests coming over, I have to wait for stove space to cook all my dishes. I’d always wish I had one more stove. Then I got this and I love it!!! I’ve used it to cook so many things and it works great. I thought it wouldn’t be as powerful as my gas cooker, but it works just as well. No difference. If you need another stove, don’t hesitate to buy this. Great product.
It brings water to a boil very quickly; the heating element is safely enclosed, so there is no risk of accidental contact, and it doesn’t take up much space. Aesthetically, it also has a stylish appearance.
Our gas range quit working after 21 years, and while waiting for the new range to ship from Costco, we had a few days without anything to cook on. This fit the bill! It’s just like a regular stove stop: strong, with things boiling quickly, and we were able to make pots of soup on it. Now I’m keeping it for emergency occasions! Highly recommend!
