This amazing medicine cabinet came extremely well packaged. Wrapped in plastic and encased in styrofoam, it ensured a damage free delivery.
Once unboxed, I was pleasantly surprised to feel it was lighter than expected. Don’t take that as a negative because it’s extremely rigid and sturdy. The satin black finish only adds to the aesthetic and gives off a classy look. The light around the edge is adjustable allowing you to choose the warmth or coolness of the light. It has a cool white, natural white and warm white. (Adjusted by the middle button.) The button on the left turns on the heated function preventing the mirror from fogging up while taking a shower. Extremely convenient and keeps you from having to wipe the mirror off repeatedly. I like this because I hate streaks across the mirror and this prevents constant cleaning.
The button on the right is the power button and just turns the whole mirror on or off.
The mirror comes with two, thick glass shelves that are adjustable by the supports on the inside of the cabinet. You can also mount this right on the wall or you can cut a hole and have it recessed. We elected to just mount it to the wall. It comes with 4 screws and drywall anchors. They’re probably sturdy enough, but I upgraded and used more rigid ones. It’s not going anywhere.
One thing worth mentioning is the wiring. You’ll notice it says it can be hard wired or plugged in. If you want to plug it in, you will need to go to a hardware store and buy the plug yourself. It’s a simple three wire system – black, white and green with green being the ground. I wired on a plug I had lying around just to test the mirror and it took maybe 5 minutes. I’m not going to knock off a star because it didn’t come with a plug.
All in all, it’s a great lighted medicine cabinet with the anti fog feature offering a good amount of storage. It’s sturdy and looks amazing!
