I couldn't be happier!!!!
I’m very pleased with this purchase! I’ve never owned a unit like this but my AC is so bad I can stand over it and not feel anything.
The fan works so well it was 90 yesterday and it kept my 500 Dr apt nice all day and night. Today it was hotter so I added the water I used water I chilled overnight in the fridge, then added the ice packs and it’s been working wonderful. I really couldn’t be happier plus my electric bill will definetly be happy! If you have a small to med sized room there’s no reason not to like this! It’s very user friendly, and the only set up was to add the wheels, people mention the size as it is big, but I’ve found plenty of spaces it fits just perfectly in. The past two days when company dropped by, both took the information to get one as well for their kids. Highly recommended !!!
After trying some “inexpensive” windowless air coolers, and getting minimal results, I decided to give the Slkdrft Large Windowless cooler a try. The unit is roughly four times the size as these inexpensive units (which cost roughly half of this unit), with the major difference being the substantial “cooling pad” surfaces…. The cooling system is roughly five times the surface area of the ones in these inexpensive units… And goes through roughly 8 to 10 times the water during a given time…. And that’s where the cooling difference lies. The lesser units showed a temperature drop at maybe 2 to 4 degrees F at best relative to the ambient temperature, this unit provided a temperature drop of roughly 10 to 12 degrees F. (Using a laser thermometer to measure the temperatures.) With substantially higher air flow at 2200 cfm. Although still not close to a true portable air conditioner (which is at least double the price and requires window exhaust), it is capable of moving the needle in hot conditions as a temporary solution during AC outages.
