Perfect for our cabana
I would have loved to find some of these in white – but the price of these was too excellent to ignore. They were incredibly easy to assemble (snap-lock in place). They are the perfect height for side tables next to outdoor sofa and chairs. I love they are versatile (tables +storage) and close tight to protect whatever we choose to put in them.
May eventually just spray paint them white — but the wood look isn’t terrible
We purchased this Keter deck box as a “Used – Very Good” Amazon return at a reasonable discount, and it arrived essentially brand new.
Assembly was straightforward, and once put together the box looks much nicer in person than many resin outdoor storage options we considered. The walnut finish has a more furniture-like appearance than typical plastic deck boxes, and it fits well on a patio without looking overly utilitarian.
The build quality also impressed us. The panels feel sturdy, the lid operates smoothly, and overall it seems thoughtfully designed for outdoor use.
We only purchased it at the start of the season, so it is too early to comment meaningfully on long-term weather durability, but initial impressions have been very positive.
Overall, we are very happy with the purchase, both with the deck box itself and with the experience buying it as a used/open-box item.
Pros:
– Looks beautiful
– Large size, fits all my shovels, ice melt, and tons of other stuff
– Seems sturdy and I hope it holds up during our next snow storm
– Love the hydraulic close
– Fairly lightweight and easy to move when empty
– Aesthetically could pass as real wood
Cons:
– The lock doesn’t align so I have to actively close it and re-align it every time.
– I had to get inside the box with the lid closed to fasten one part. Not my favorite situation bc I’m claustrophobic. I pretended I was buried alive and the faster I secured the part, the more likely I would live 😀
– Idk if I would consider this a con necessarily but it took me about 1.75 hours to assemble. I did it by myself (44yr old and in decent shape but I have a bad back). Trying to get the lid aligned and pushed down gave me a literal headache bc it required kicking and pushing and pulling for a while and it hurt my back. Using a drill cut down a lot of time. I also did this in the dark outside so that added time I’m sure.
Love this storage box! It is the perfect size to stage around our property for quick storage of anything we don’t want seen or want to keep from impending rain. We currently have two and plan on getting more. They are really well made, high quality, completely waterproof, no leaks, and have an attractive, natural look. They can double as ottomans, side tables, or extra seating. They were super easy to assemble and there is a lock option if needed. Could not be happier with the quality and look!

I bought this as a parcel box outside my front door. I am so pleased with it and it fits decent sized parcels and many many smaller ones and everything is lovely and dry.
So chuffed, could not be happier.
Water proof. Fits perfectly on the patio. Great buy. Easy to install. Light weight but works well. I was surprised how well it works because it seemed flimsy. Going to buy another for the pool deck. Perfect size.
