Great product, Makes cooking so easy
I purchased the Instant Pot recently, and it has genuinely improved my daily cooking routine. The multi-function options are very well-designed — pressure cooking, sauting, slow cooking, and steaming all work flawlessly.
Rice, biryani, dal, soups, and even boiled vegetables are cooked perfectly with consistent results. The stainless-steel inner pot is sturdy and easy to clean, unlike non-stick pots that wear out quickly.
I also appreciate the safety features: lid lock, pressure release valve, and auto temperature control. The appliance feels premium, user-friendly, and energy-efficient.
Overall, the Instant Pot is a reliable, time-saving kitchen appliance, especially for busy households. Totally worth the purchase.
I’m single & new to pressure cooking, so have a lot to learn. Have used it 3 times so far and am really pleased with it. Things cook so fast!! Really like that you can saute in it and go right into pressure cooking mode. Haven’t tried slow cooker or steam mode yet, but am looking forward to it. Probably won’t use the yogurt (it’s just me & I don’t eat enough of it to bother) or rice (most online recommendations are to just use pressure mode & time for type of rice) modes. Hard boiled eggs are fast, easy and the shells just fall off! It’s the perfect size for 1 or 2 person households. Highly recommend.
Easy to use. Love that you can saut and brown then finish cooking in the same appliance. Foods come out very tender and taste is good. The one thing is that it does retain the smells of some stronger spices. If aired out it reduces but still is there but does not affect flavor of other foods cooked later. Wondering if the seal is absorbing some odor due to type of material as washing and air drying each part of the appliance per instructions does not eliminate food smells? Have used this with online recipes successfully. I like this appliance and it’s a great option for quick meals.
PROS:
1) Aesthetically pleasing appearance in my upgraded light kitchen, much prettier than my other black and stainless Instant Pots. Even the panel is mostly white. Color is a soft white or very light off white, not stark white which I was hoping for.
2) Much quieter than my other 3 and 6 quart Instant Pots. No loud obnoxious beeps.
3) The release button is on the front of the lid rather than next to the pressure release spout making it much much safer to use.
4) The glass lid from my 6 quart Instant Pot unit fits this container so they are interchangeable. A huge plus since the unit doesn’t come with a cover for refrigeration.
5) I love the wider shorter bowl which makes it easier to cook and serve.
6) I like that it has both high and low temperature settings for Slow Cook unlike my 3 quart Instant Pot.
CONS:
1) Cord is cheap and flimsy, nothing like the more substantial 3 pronged cord on my other Instant Pot units. This was a huge downgrade. And it’s black, an eyesore on this otherwise very pretty unit. Should have used a better quality white cord. I’m purchasing a sleeve for it.
2) Electric Cord is not detachable like with my other Instant Pot units so you can’t replace it in case you want something longer or shorter or better quality or just want to remove it for storage.
3) You can’t purchase additional replacement containers in this size and shape which I was able to do with my other Instant Pot units. Hopefully they’ll eventually manufacture them. But in the meantime the one container is all I have.
4) The Pressure Cook/Steam settings have only one temperature unlike my other stainless Instant Pot units which had both low and high options. I consider this a rather significant downgrade. After using it several times and judging by how long it takes to heat up, cook, and depressurize the temp seems to be high. Disappointing as I always used the low temp setting before.
Overall I like the RIO except for the cord and that I can’t buy extra containers. So far it’s working well. I’ve already made soup, pasta, and rice which came out perfect.
I am so happy with my Instant Pot RIO Mini 7-in-1. It has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances.
The 4-quart size is perfect for small families, couples, or meal prep. I love how versatile it is—it works as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, saut pan, yogurt maker, and food warmer all in one.
Everything I’ve cooked has turned out great, from rice and beans to soups and tender meats. It saves me so much time, and cleanup is incredibly easy. The controls are simple to use, even for someone new to pressure cooking.

I absolutely love this Instant Pot! The 4-quart size is perfect for one or two people. It doesn’t take up much space on my countertop, but it’s still big enough to cook a full meal.
Before this one, I used a 6-quart Instant Pot to make bone broth. It worked great, but I actually prefer this smaller size. Now I can make fresh, smaller batches two or three times a week instead of one big batch. For some reason, it just feels so much better, and I enjoy having freshly made broth more often.
It’s very easy to use, and I love how versatile it is. I’ve already used the pressure cooker, saut, and slow cook functions, and everything has turned out great. The stainless steel inner pot is also very easy to clean, which is a big plus.
It also looks really nice on the counter. The Sea Salt color is simple and modern, and the compact size makes it easy to store or move around if needed.
If you’re looking for an Instant Pot that doesn’t take over your kitchen but still does everything you need, I highly recommend this one. It has been a fantastic purchase!
This is my first Instant Pot. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about using one for cooking, which is why I had not bought one previously, I am pleasantly surprised. It’s smaller than others I’ve seen, which I appreciate because of lack of space. I’ve been able to cook a variety of food without complaint, which always comes out tasting great. It cooks the food perfectly as long as you use the correct amount of liquid and cook for the appropriate time. Worth every penny that I did not want to spend during these times of high inflation.
