Cordless, light, quiet. Drags on rough spots
Pros:
– Cordless is the win here. Not being tethered to an extension cord makes clearing the front walk, steps, and the deck way less annoying, especially when the outlet is around the back. Push the safety, squeeze the trigger, and it spins up instantly with no fuss.
– Lightweight enough to carry up and down stairs without feeling like a workout. The adjustable handle and secondary grip help you find a comfortable angle so you’re skimming the surface instead of hunching over.
– Assembly is simple. The three main pieces click or screw together in a few minutes, and it breaks down just as fast for off season storage. It’s about the footprint of a stick vacuum in a closet.
– Quieter than a gas unit, and honestly pretty reasonable for early morning clears. You can hear the auger, but it’s more of a whir than a roar, so you won’t annoy the whole street.
Cons:
– No wheels, so you end up sliding the housing along the ground like a shovel. On rough concrete or pavers it can feel draggy, and the bottom skids will show wear over time.
– Battery is a proprietary style, and backups aren’t obvious to find. If you want to swap packs for longer sessions, you may need to hunt for compatible spares first.

Heavy, Fairly Quiet, Replacement Batteries May Be an Issue
The snow blower comes in 3 pieces (main motorized brush, extension handle & trigger handle), 1 x 20A battery, 1 x charging dock, a removable support handle and a user manual.
The unit fully assembled is heavier than expected as it weighs approx. 4.424kg/9.75lbs with the battery & handle installed.
The overall length is approx. 57″ long, so it has some reach and good for tall people.
The motor has an external width of approx. 12.75″, but a cleaning path of 9.75″ wide x 5″ high.
The battery has a button on the front to provide a status of the battery charge. I opened the battery and found 10 x 18650 batteries at 3.7V, and checking online, are rated at 2000mAh each, so not sure how that works as that technically adds up to 37V. They can be connected in pairs making it 18.5V, but then not sure about the amperage (I’m not great at electrical and connecting batteries in series/parallel).
The batteries don’t use a common pin layout, so finding replacement batteries may be an issue.
You need to depress the safety before pulling the trigger to activate and need to continue to hold the trigger otherwise it will turn off. I would have liked a trigger lock, so I’m not as fatigued squeezing the trigger while trying to move a 10lbs shovel.
I would have expected wheels on the back of the device, but it looks like you slide the body across the ground.
There is a lever on top that allows you to shift the direction of the blown snow from left, center or right.
The snow blades and directional fins are all plastic, so hopefully it holds up.
Operational noise is not bad, a lot quieter than expected.
Overall, decent construction quality. It’s fairly heavy and doesn’t have wheels so it generally drags across the ground like a regular shovel. Although it comes with one battery, finding replacements on Amazon may be an issue.
At the time of order, the snow blower was priced at $149.99.
Easy Setup, Light, and Ready for the First Snowfall
Our landlord handles snow removal for the neighborhood, but the contractors often do a poor job, start late, or skip smaller snowfalls due to fine print. I do not mind my own walkway with good boots, but our elderly neighbors do, so I picked up this snow blower to make clearing their walkway faster and easier.
I have not used it on real snow yet since winter is just starting, but I put it together to get a feel for it. Assembly was simple. I had it done in a couple of minutes without looking at instructions. The snap-and-screw setup is logical and straightforward. The box includes the blower, a charger, and a single battery.
The handle can be installed at two different lengths, which I like. In my testing it felt light and easy to maneuver. Once I have cleared a few driveways and sidewalks, I will update with performance details. So far I like the build quality, the adjustable handle, and the fact that it takes about the same amount of space as a snow shovel.
Battery is not interchangeable with other Garvee products
Update: It’s now the end of November and I had a chance to use this in our recent 2 day snowstorm. As I originally stated, it doesn’t work well on heavy, wet, deep snow. It works well up to about 7.5cm (3 inches) if it’s fluffy. You can also shave off a few inches at a time for deeper areas. It does scrape right down to the surface though. However, that means it’s best used on poured concrete or very well-aligned paving stones; on asphalt you have to angle it and it can get awkward. If used on wooden walkways, you may end up with gouges (ask me how I know).
While it does allow you to angle the spray, I found the angles to be too narrow – most of the snow ends up right in front of you no matter what and if you have a lengthy surface to clear, you’re just piling it up in front of you. It does throw the snow quite far. Almost too far, honestly. Since you can only put the snow in front and you can’t spray into the street, some driveway and walkway configurations just don’t work with this. My paving stone path to the back of the house? No problem. My driveway? It ends up on my porch.
Overall, I think this has some niche uses and users. As a 50 year old, healthy woman, I’d rather just shovel – it’s much faster and easier for me, especially if I’m dealing with 3″ of fluffy snow. If I was older or had health issues, this might really help keep some areas clear.

I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet as it’s only mid-October but I expect it should work just fine for fluffy snow on our walkways. It’s light enough that I can easily lift it with one hand and the adjustable secondary handle along the shaft helps distribute the weight depending on the user. It’s quite compact and easy to store. It is made of plastic but seems sturdy and I have plastic shovels that have lasted a decade so as long as I’m not trying to throw ice chunks, it should be okay. The motor seems strong and the design of the blades should be effective.
Note that this is not designed to handle heavy, wet snow nor the compacted snow from the snow plow. However, it should help lighten the load a bit by clearing the walkways and some of the driveway.
Finally, I do own another Garvee battery-powered item and the batteries, despite being the same volts and amp-hours, are NOT interchangeable. This was disappointing and a missed opportunity for the company but it doesn’t affect the performance of this item so I didn’t remove a star.
This cordless snow shovel is easy to handle and works well for clearing walkways, decks, and stairs. It’s lightweight and simple to use, which makes it a good option for quick cleanups without the hassle of cords. The snow-throwing distance is decent for its size, and the battery charges fairly quickly. While it’s best suited for light to moderate snowfall rather than heavy storms, it’s a convenient tool to have on hand for everyday winter maintenance.
Nice for smaller areas!
My house does not have a front driveway but I do have to maintain the sidewalk leading to my door and in front of my house. Its not too much to have to shovel but I do find traditional shovelling to take a tole on my back so I decided to give this battery powered snow blower a try.
I got this before any snow has come for the season yet and I am hoping to not see any snow for at least a month so I cannot speak to how well it works yet. However, from looking at the device and seeing how it works I am expecting it to work great for the light and fluffy stuff I usually get. I will update my review here if it does not work as expected.
The snow blower itself is quite nice, the handle is large and comfortable to hold and the other handle provides a good grip on the whole thing. It is easy to turn on using the trigger but has a safety lock that also needs to be pushed with your thumb to activate the trigger. When running, the roller inside spins very fast leading me to believe it will do a great job at removing snow. There are also little flaps near the top, these can be rotated either to the left or the right to help move the snow away from the path being cleared. The battery is large and slides into the handle easily. It includes a charging base which is also easy to use. One thing I noticed that I am still not sure how it will do is the lack of any wheels, it simply slides across the ground like a shovel. I do find it a little harder to push than a standard shovel but I am hoping this is easier on wet or icy ground. Essentially the bottom plastic parts will wear over time from friction, not sure why they didn’t include any kind of wheel or rolling mechanism.
Overall I think this is a great little snow blower, especially for smaller areas like mine. It is not too heavy and easily manoeuvrable, the lack of wheels is a little strange but seems ok enough.
Too early for snow, but giving this 4 stars on the fact that it’s super easy to put together, store, and is fully electric so no cord. Got for my partner’s house as she has a big porch and stretch of sidewalk to take care of but not a lot of storage space. Being able to charge the battery with enough life for removing light snow and then charge it up for next use was a big selling point, and its about as big as a vacuum cleaner. Hopefully it’s easy to use, will update it it underperforms but have high hopes!

This machine packs a punch! Perfect for those of us who have small asphalt driveways or sidewalks and want an assist cleaning up small areas. We have a large driveway that gets plowed but there’s an area by our garage we have to clear, and this made that task easy in 4 in of snow with no big piles to show for it.
The assembly was very easy. All parts feel durable and have some weight to them. It is a bit heavy feeling overall and definitely would be a workout to use for a long time, but not too bad. It is easy to maneuver on flat asphalt and a bit harder over bumps and cracks. On my paver stone walkway it was a bit harder to move with one hand but easy to keep steady holding the front handle as well.
This thing surprisingly throws snow with serious force! It gets the pathway very clear.
Charger and battery are easy to handle. It came fully charged even after sitting in my garage for a few months before assembling.
I would definitely recommend this!
Winter is just around the corner, and this year I plan on spending way less time shoveling snow than I have in the past. The Garvee 12-inch electric snow blower will do the trick when snowfall comes.
I’ve ordered multiple trash cans and household items from Garvee and so far, those have been quality items, so I have no doubt this electric snow shovel will be the same. I also ordered the bigger brother, a 20″ electric snow blower from Garvee, for the bigger snowfall jobs.
Both items appear to be quality-made; however, they are primarily made of plastic. The shovel comes with a single 20-volt battery as well as a charger. For reference, the battery for the shovel and the two batteries for the bigger snow blower are compatible; however, by comparison, these batteries, while around the same size, are about half the weight of my DeWalt batteries of the same voltage. They also claim to be 4-amp-hour batteries, but are also lighter than some of my drone batteries of the same capacity. In other words, I doubt they are what they claim. On the same note, the charger only has two leads for charging, which suggests it may not be a proper balance charger.
Batteries aside, the unit is relatively easy to assemble. It has manageable segments that can be quickly attached and detached for storage. The handle can be adjusted for your height along the length of the shaft. It’s about 9 pounds; however, when using it in snow, it will feel much heavier.
The unit operates much like most snowblowers. It has a rotating drum with curbed fins that rotate to launch the snow. The small lever on the front of the unit adjusts the throw path, so it needs to be thrown to the left or right. The operation is relatively quiet as far as snowblowers go. I’d say it’s not any louder than any other electric yard appliances.
I’ve seen snow fall on the mountains, so I know it’s getting close. I will follow up with more information about the performance of this shovel. I do not doubt that it will work, but I don’t expect this to be a powerhorse to clear entire drives or decks.
