Coffee maker works as expected. It makes a good cup of coffee with a good layer of crema.
Pros: It is a fairly small unit, so it fits in most kitchen setups.
Cons: It is a little noisy, but not overly so. The one that I received does have an annoying metallic rattle while brewing. The lever at the top is made of a plastic and flexes a bit when actuating.
Overall: The unit is decent. For the money, I would have expected a little more. My main complaints are the lever material and the rattle. Other than those, the unit seems a solid purchase. I will use it and see how the longevity is with the unit.
Update: I am still using the machine and have been able to adjust the length of brew using the instructions provided. I noticed many reviews with short cycles or varying length of cycle which likely is easily solved by following the instructions on adjusting the brewing cycle. Second, I noticed many reviews talking about pods getting stuck. I also experience this, but it is caused by using the plastic pods instead of the aluminum pods. When using the aluminum pods, I have not experienced this. However, using the plastic pods, it happens more than half the time.
Overall: I still feel this is a good machine and would purchase again with the knowledge that I have gained using this one.
I Really Like it!
I really like this machine. It works great with original Nespresso pods, as it’s intended to. It may have difficulty working with some of the other brands that use the Nespresso pod type, but I think it’s a problem with the brand of pods, not the machine.
I dont experience leakage with it, it heats up fast, and it makes good Nespresso. It’s a bit noisy, but I expect that from any espresso machine and have no complaints since it does exactly what it’s supposed to very well–make espresso!
The price was good, and it’s easy to clean.
If you enjoy Espresso look NO FURTHER this is the ticket to a GREAT CUP
Wow the temp of the espresso is spot on, not to hot not to cold just easy to enjoy
There is NO Leakage from the unit at all – I have made several cups thus far
The brew speed is excellent – it takes maybe 10 seconds to heat the water then press the size you’d like and presto you have espresso
Portable I would say yes as you can move it room to room if you need to I found a spot and keep it there
It is not loud at all.
First off, let me start by saying I have owned $1700 espresso machines. Back in the day when I could still drink high caffeine espresso drinks I went all out and got the best of the best , ground my own specialty coffee, etc..
now that I’m a little older, I’m drinking decaf and did not want to spend all that money to get a high-end espresso machine so I went out on a limb and purchased this one. I have to tell you the quality of the espresso shots is exceptionally good I am very pleased with this purchase. It is pretty quick to brew up a couple shots of espresso, and pretty quick to clean. I just run a couple ounces of water through it with no pod in after I finish each morning , and that does the trick. The only thing with this one that I have had any trouble with at all is being able to set the exact amount of each shot that I want to brew, and let’s face it even with an expensive machine you have to watch and stop your shots at the exact amount you want anyway, so I don’t look at that as a problem. I would highly recommend this machine. I love mine and I think you would love one too.
