Literally the cutest thing in my kitche
This Dutch oven pot is honestly so adorable. Perfect for my sourdough and other dishes. I got it in pink and it adds a little whimsy and color to my kitchen! It is durable, easy to clean, and pretty heavy duty. It came with these adorable little polka dot oven mitts that fit the lid and side handles. No complaints!
Bakes Beautiful Bread. Very sturdy and high quality. Burns easily, unfortunately, but the burn marks from just baking Sourdough can be washed/scraped off using a baking soda and water paste. Closes easy and gets hot quick. Maybe a bit small, but it has fit all my loaves well so far.
Overall very happy with the purchase. Have made 5-6 Sourdough loaves in it with great results. Gets a 4 vs 5 star only for the very short handle on the top. I added a couple metal washers to make it taller which helped a lot. Still – would buy again. Very recommended.
This is a great Dutch oven. I use it for Sour dough breads. I will probably use it more in the fall for other recipes. This is a solid pan and came with small pot holders to take off the lid. It is a tall Dutch oven so I have to take out a rack in my oven to use it. Other than that, it is easy to use.
I used this today for my very first sourdough loaf. It is beautiful, and I opted to get this instead of a traditional dutch oven. I was hoping it would be lighter and easier to store. It worked great! I’d say the majority of the weight is in the lid, which my recipe calls for removing half way through baking. So, taking the finished product was easy and not heavy. Plus, I feel like the air circulated around the uncovered loaf better in this vessel than it would a traditional dutch oven. Highly recommend for bread baking. I did not use the tiny hot pads. I found they didn’t give me a good enough grip and were not large enough to prevent burns from the surrounding cast iron near the handle of the lid. But a hotpad works just as well.
