I have used this multiple times already! I love the color, the quality, and the versatility. Probably my favorite cookware purchase.
It is heavy, which is expected, and I believe contributes to its overall quality. I am a tiny person (100lbs) and I can lift it without much difficulty, even with extra weight in it.
I am even considering buying a second because I love it so much.
So far I love this pot. Havent owned it.long so hesitate to give it a glowing.review, but.love the.color, so far a breeze to.clean and cook with. Havent.made.my dutch oven.bread yet, will be my true test. Lol
Boy, do I love me some nice cookware. And as we head into the cooler months, it’s starting to be stew, soup, and coq a vin time. That means it’s Dutch oven time, and Tastedeli has a nice one at a great price for you.
This cast iron and enamel gem is beautiful and just what you want. Beautiful red finish onnthe outside, beautiful off-white enamel on the inside. Its solid, with a well-fitting lid to keep the heat and steam in. At 4.5 quarts, it’s big enough for a generous dinner but not so monstrous that it won’t fit in your oven. For those who partake, it’s pretty much perfect size for your sourdough bread. Cleans up easy and looks like it it made to last. Only time will tell.
Look, no one is going to confuse this with Le Creuset or Staub, but you aren’t going to pay for those, either. It’s very close in build to my Lodge Dutch oven. At this price and considering the quality, it’s a definite buy for me.
I already have a 6 quart Dutch oven that I use regularly and quite enjoy. However, I ordered this red enamel Dutch oven because it’s smaller at 4.6 quarts, and the perfect size for smaller, but still substantial dishes. First, I love the attractive red enamel which goes perfectly with my other red-colored cookware. This Dutch oven is well made, heavy duty as it should be. I have used this twice so far and am impressed with its performance. Heat seems to be evenly distributed and the lid fits tightly.
The interior is indeed non-stick, however, I did cook chili for over an hour over low heat, and a little bit of the chili got stuck at the bottom. No big deal though, I just soaked it in hot water for a few minutes and it washed off with a regular sponge. Easy peasy. And what I also appreciate about this product is the silicone sleeves that go over the pot handles. It’s just a perfect fit and does work to keep your hands from burning when handling the pot. Reasonably priced for a high quality product. Highly recommend.
I’ve been wanting a cast iron Dutch oven and am so happy to have this one. First of all, it looks great. The red color is bright and shiny; due to space limitations in our kitchen, we’re actually keeping it primarily on the stove and it doesn’t look cluttered or out of place. The material is super thick and heavy, giving it a high quality feel. The inner part is also nonstick, so while the Dutch oven itself is cast iron, helping with even heating, the food won’t stick on it. I made a soup today for about 6-8 servings and it was just about the right size; I’d say this is comparable to a medium pot (as opposed to a large stock pot you might use for something with more volume). Overall, it works well, is easy to clean, and feels super strong and durable.
