So far it seems good, keeps my basement/shop dry. My only issue is partly my own fault. It says WiFi on it and I assumed it would work with Google home. Unfortunately it does not, the wifi app is easy to use and has a scheduler on it. If you have a consistent schedule this will work for you, whereas my schedule rotates every week, so this scheduler does not work for me. In the past Google home could adjust this for me with my last dehumidifier, but like I said, it does not work in Google home . Wish they would have gone just a little further with their app and made this truely smart home capable… I did email them asking about it, and got no response back.
I run several dehumidifiers now & have used various makes over the years. I also use humidity/temperature sensors, so I know exactly how my dehumidifiers are performing. The Duracomfort my family call it “The beast” because it continually removes an amazing amount of moisture in a hurry. I bought it to use in my laundry which is a large area. I had previously used a ceiling fan which did not work so well during the rainy season. It has a large water container with handle is really convenient, I use the water in the garden to water plants & top the pool up. It has a pump to drain the tank & a permanent drain hose if required. I prefer to put the water it removes to good use! Lots of good things to say about this unit its very, very efficient at what it does. I wouldn’t use it in a bedroom at night as it’s not whisper quiet. The only thing I would like to have is a dual voltage 110/220v option & not just 110v. I use a voltage regulator to step my voltage down from 220v to 110v. The Wi-Fi works great, very easy to control the unit remotely.
All good, I love it, works better than I had hoped.
I like the fact that it’s wireless, has three types of drainage, and really dehumidifies my basement where I keep my guitars. The directions are a little convoluted but the support gets back with you before days end. I like the fact that it has a pump with a 16 ft hose and you can put it down your sink drain where it works rather well. The only downside is some of the modes you cannot adjust the fan speed but all in all I’m glad I got i
Timely customer support during warranty.
After 10 months the unit failed. Got in touch with the seller’s customer support. I worked with the seller’s customer support and it was determined to replace the unit. Good and timely support from the seller and their customer support.
