This is a wonderful comforter. Like the title says: it’s super soft. The top material is muslin and the bottom material is a cotton. Both complement each other. There is some type of poly-fill in the middle that so far after 2-3 washes, it has stayed in place. I live in Florida and I have found this product has been warm enough for winter and not so thick that it would be too hot in the summer. Love love love this comforter. He’s super cute and it’s a bit weighted so on colder night it feels so cozy. It’s nice and thick. I ordered 2 more cause I love it so much. Also it’s 100% cotton. No polyester crap.
This set feels good, looks good, and is functional. Not quite transition-to-fall warm (a little too warm for late/still cooling summer nights, but good for fall evenings when it’s already cold at night; description said year-round blanket, but this won’t do for winter, either). This blanket has soothing weight and somewhat high loft (give it a few hours after un-vacuum-packing it, and if you lay it out, it comes back pretty quick).
Not too sure how breathable it is technically, but I’m not sweating through the night when cool enough in the room. Warm summer nights will likely get you all sweaty. Note the comforter is only muslin-simulant on one side. The reverse is a typical tight-weave fabric.
Pillowcases are all muslin, and have a wraparound pocket to be more secure. They wash and low-tumble dry fine. As with true muslin, it can wrinkle easily, but there is charm in that, too.
The biggest downside: despite the product title, and true muslin cloth, but this is 100% polyester, and it’s stated on both the comforter and pillow. I assume this means the blanket is polyester muslin with polyester batting (expected as “down alternative” filling), and polyester backing.
Smaller downside: when you first open the bag and pull out the blanket, it will have lots of stray fibers and tufts of loose fabric/stuffing in many places, probably the remnants of cutting, filling, etc.
