Beautifully designed large capacity stock pot an excellent choice
This is the kitchen pot we didn’t know we needed. We already have a set of stainless steel pots and pans – including a stock pot – but this one is much lower, broader and holds almost 10 litres. We first tried it out when my husband wanted to make raspberry jam from our wild berries. This pot held all the jam jars and it never over-boiled. With our new stove we have been having problems with the water in our stainless steel pots boiling over, but this pot is an induction cooking pot and features even heating. We used it for boiling pasta and then made soups with fresh ingredients from our garden. This is where the stock pot really shines. You can make a very large soup that will feed a small army of guests. We also made a great soup just for us and were able to get three meals out of it.
The pot itself is beautifully designed with brass handles that stay cool even when the pot is hot. The glass lid allows you to see through the top and monitor your food to make sure it is cooking properly (without taking off the lid and letting out steam). It does have a small steam vent in it to ensure the contents don’t boil over and make a mess.
The steel has a burnished finish to it that looks and feels great. The pot has some markings inside that indicate the volume of liquid in it and can be used like a measuring cup. This comes in very handy. Overall this pot is beautiful, functional and we find we are using it frequently because of its many excellent features. I would definitely recommend it.
What a beautiful pot. It is low and wide with gold handles. It is very heavy and sturdy. It is one of the nicest pots I’ve bought in a long, long time. I am bringing it to my daughter’s house this weekend because she is also looking for a large source pot.
A PRETTY AND FUNCTIONAL STOCK POT - DOUBLES AS TABLE WEAR
This is a functional stock pot made aesthetically pleasing to look at. It can go directly from the stove top or oven to the table top. The build quality of this pot is very good, it feels sturdy and durable. I have a gas cooktop and I’ve had trouble finding a pot that the integrity of the bottom remains and for it to not warp. This pots double stainless steel with aluminum core centre provides a stable surface that stands up to the high direct heat of a gas cooktop. I also appreciate that this pot is oven safe and can go from stove top for braising directly into the oven without having to change pots. The pot also distributes heat quite evenly which isn’t always the case with a gas cooktop but this pots build provides even distribution of the heat. The double handles are well secured to the sides of the pot and are designed so that a secure hold is achieved when lifting the pot.
I like that the lid is made from tempered glass and I’m able to see the contents without having to lift the lid and lose heat. I haven’t had the pot for long but my initial uses of the pot have been an effective non stick surface and even messy chili wiped up easily with nothing more than a paper towel.
Pros
-double layer stainless steel build with an aluminum core
-anti rust
-tempered glass lid
-even heating
-induction compatible
-non stick
-double handle
-decorative aesthetic
The BEZIA 10 quart stainless steel stock pot is a bit pricey but not unreasonably so.
Ordered this based on other reviews and reasonable price for a large, 3-ply stainless steel pot. Ordered the 12qt version as well. That arrived with one of the handles broken off on one side, perhaps from the box being dropped during shipping. I then noticed that the handles are not bolted on through the wall of the pot, as they are with many similar pots. They are bolted onto what appear to be threaded pegs tack welded onto the outside of the pot. The tack weld had failed and the peg broken off, along with the bolt for that side. This may be a design flaw (it’s clearly not as strong as a bolt-through design) or could just be a defective weld on a single pot. But it doesn’t give me confidence that the pot handles would hold up to heavy or long-term use. I don’t use pots this size all that often, so they may work out fine for me. Time will tell. 4 stars for now..
Perfect for meal prepping for a family of 3
I am making this review 3months after my purchase. I have to say, I love love it!!!
I have used this stockpot over and over again. It’s large enough to meal prep for a family of 3. I use it a lot for making stews and soups that last at minimum 2 weeks.
Good triply stock po
A durable, large capacity stock pot that works with induction stovetops. I got this to replace an old stockpot and this one is better in every way. First it has a triply construction which makes it heat more evenly than my previous one and makes it feel sturdy. Inside the pot there are measurement markings so I don’t need a separate cup to measure things. The finish on the steel looks premium and it has a great look with the brass coloured handles. The glass lid lets me check on what I’m cooking without having to lift it off. Overall, a great stock pot that is simple and well made.
Nice large po
This is a nice large pot for bigger cooking jobs. I got the 8-quart version so not the biggest but it was thr biggest we would need and have capacity to store. Most of time we’re not making large amounts of food for the two of us in our apartment. However it’s nice to have the capacity for a bit more. We have some non-stick Cuisinart pots & pans but none that work with induction, and we have to be careful with the coating. This solves both of those issues. We csn scrub the inside with harsher scrubbers and it works on our induction hotplate. If we wanted to do a huge hotpot we could! We could also do some smaller canning or a large bath of cooking. It’s a bit pricey at almost 1/4 of the cost of our whole set of pots and pans, but it is solidly made and should hold up for basically forever! Looking forward to using this for a long time.
Decent performer for big batch cooking
This is a functional and well sized stockpot that does its job well. The combination of even heating, the nonstick interior, and sturdy construction makes it a practical addition to my kitchen.
What I like:
1. Even heating: I’ve used it to make soups, stews, and even for boiling pasta, and it heats pretty evenly. I didn’t experience any major hot spots that caused burning in one area.
2. Nonstick surface: the nonstick interior is great. It makes cleanup after cooking things like rice or starchy potatoes much easier. A bit of soap and warm water usually does the trick.
3. Handles well: The handles are sturdy and stay cool enough on the stovetop to handle the pot. They provide a secure grip, which is important when the pot is full and heavy.
4. Good capacity: The 10-quart size is perfect for preparing larger quantities. It’s great for meal prepping or cooking for a large family.
Points to consider:
1. Nonstick performance: while the nonstick surface works well now for most purpose, I did find some cooking may still have sticking issue, such as oatmeal. Additionally, I am unsure if I can use metal mesh for cleaning.
Beautiful Efficie
Beautiful pot to make soups and stews. It cleans up easily. I am looking forward to many years of using. The clear lid is helpful as I can see how items are cooking. Good weight for cooking.
I absolutely love this stockpot and am very glad I purchased it.
One of the first things I noticed is that it’s a little wider and not quite as tall as some other stockpots I’ve owned. I actually prefer that shape because it feels more stable on the stove and gives plenty of room for cooking soups, pasta, potatoes, and other large batches of food.
What really impressed me is how quickly it heats up and how well it retains heat. Water comes to a boil much faster than I expected, and when I’m making soup or other dishes, the pot stays hot for a long time after I turn off the burner. Putting the lid on helps keep everything warm, which is a nice bonus.
The pot feels sturdy, well constructed, and well made. The stainless steel looks great, cleans up nicely, and feels like it will hold up for years.
Whether I’m boiling pasta, cooking potatoes, or making a big pot of soup, this stockpot performs beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with it and would definitely buy it again.
