So here’s the situation we were in before purchasing and using the Deciuu 5000-
My son who is a fly fishing guide set up his Mancave in our basement garage where he spends time tying flys and storing his damp fly fishing equipment. One side of the garage is up against damp soil that also brings moisture into the space leaving the concrete floor wet from both moisture and humidity. One day of having the unit run has completely dried up the space. The internal pump is truly amazing, it pumps the water out like a champ. So much that I had to use all of the tubing that came with it to pump all the water as far away from the garage wall as possible. It came with more than enough drainage hose to be able to do this.
Another plus, it does feel a lot cooler in the garage without all the humidity that he doesn’t need to run the portable ac.
We will be buying another unit to use in our living space.
Arrived quickly, very clear instructions, it must stand upright for 8 hours before turning it on ,but that is with any dehumidifier that your ordering. Runs quietly and starts to lower humidity all most immediately. Very pleased with this purchase.
I am using this in bonus room in our basement. Dehumidifier works great, it’s not in an area where noise is a concern but it is not bothersome at all. Main reason I purchased was for the auto pump feature since it’s I an area where we don’t see it daily. I set this up with a 5 gallon bucket to pump into until I was confident it worked as advertised. Works perfectly, humidity down to 50% without even running the device on high. Would recommend!!

The other thing that’s good is it has a pump and hoses which I was able to just route to the nearest sump pump basin making the dehumidifier something I don’t need to constantly check on or empty.
So far it’s been running for a few weeks and doing a phenomenal job. It is powerful.
When it comes to mold, mildew, or humidity, more power is important and this dehumidifier has made a huge difference in air quality.
